Reviewed from notes
Bottle 325 ml, ABV 4.0%.
Dark yellow colour with one finger head that quickly goes off, leaving no lacing on the glass.
Heavy aroma, tastes good, sort of sweet but not that much. I can't put my finger exavtly on what it reminds me. Thin bodied and medium carbonation.

If I remember correctly, this one was my first beer in Mexico, so I might have been more generous than usual.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a generic Pils glass.

Brilliantly clear dark orange/copper body with a thin yet lasting off-white yead. Delicate even lacing, no legs.

Clean lager aroma with very faint toastiness.

Pleasing malty palate entry with delicate toasted flavors and very light melanoidins. Use of adjuncts becomes more obvious mid-palate as the desired complexity fails to arrive and is instead replaced by a light mineral-water flavor. Finishes slightly dry and malty with next to no hop presence.

Light bodied, crisp, with zesty carbonation.

Rather watered-down, though clean and straight-forward. Not bad, though rather boring compared to what the style could be...

Review from 7/2011 notes. Poured into a pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber. Thin white head, dissipates quickly, but stays effervescent. Light malt and grain aroma. A standard light sweet malt with light hopping average beer taste. Pleasant, but unremarkable. OK for drinking with Mexican food.

Very poor choice of beer for myself. The color was a simmered brown, taste was completely lacking, not hoppy, nor bitter, nothing - no head at all, light on the carbonation. I felt like I was drinking a beer that just had no heart or soul put into it. sad

Another brew enjoyed off the resort and appears to be a popular choice among locals.

A - Pours a light golden colour, thin layer of head which quickly dissipates and leaves no lacing.

S - Sweet corn dominates with a hint of buttered bread and grainy malts.

T - Again dominated by the sweet corn notes, no real hop notes detectable, and the bready caramel malts linger, though mild in nature.

M - Medium bodied, smooth and wet.

O - Nothing spectacular here, though nothing offensive and I'd certainly recommend this over a Corona Extra. Main downfall is that at 4% this stuff is a bit too close to water. Certainly an option to rehydrate from the hot sun though.
