325ml bottle, purchased last week in Zihuatanejo, Mexico; this is one of two twist-topped bottles we brought back from the visit.

A: A slightly copper-orange hue - good clarity, fairly steady carbonation. Whitish head fizzes and stalls after a few seconds, leaving just a thin ring of cream and a vague swirl of the paper-thin foam.

S: Dash of cinnamon sugar and bread crust. Minor 'metal', not 'off' - it is what it is.

T: Toasted nuttiness, light bread, mild sweetness. Touch of honey lends a cake-ier quality, pale malts, a touch wheaty. Dry, straw-like.

M: Crisp, clean, decent (but not overbearing) carbonation and exceedingly refreshing. A grainy/starchy finish.

O: Fine in cloudy/cool Oregon; terrific in toasty/sunny Mexico. I now 'get' the allure of simpler, low-alcohol cervezas in a tropical climate. An enjoyable, no-nonsense pour - I liked it both straight and mixed with lime and other fruits in a 'michelada'. A good base beer or a fine quaff on a hot day - i may now look for this at the local tiendas (we do have a few here in Portland) to enjoy on those hottest of summer days (we do have a few of those, too).

Tulip glass, a finger of head on a clear, medium straw colored body.
The aroma is metallic and light grain. Not great.
The taste is metallic with a touch of honey. Not great.
The texture is crisp with a bit of softness. Moderate carbonation.
I'm trying to figure out in what situation I would enjoy this beer...

Pours out a clear copper color with a two finger white foamy head. Head settles down quickly to a thin lace around the glass with some lacing sticking around.

The aroma is thin with hints of cooked grain and grassy hop.

The flavor is just as thin as the aroma. Crisp clean body with a hint of grassy hop, zero malt, Just a flat clean flavor.

Over all the beer is suppose to be a Veinna lager yet has no more flavor than your average mass produced lager.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass

Appearance- Pours a medium amber color with a one finger white head. The head fades relatively quickly, leaving only a light level of lace on the sides of the glass.

Smell- The aroma is a mix of some bready and grainy smells with a sweet caramel and light grassy aroma.

Taste – The taste begins with a grainy and lightly caramel sweetened taste. As the flavors advance, the caramel fades giving way to some corny tastes. The end of the flavor profile brings a very light amount of grassy hop flavor to the tongue leaving a somewhat crisp flavor on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is quite thin in creaminess with a carbonation level that is on the medium side. The thin body mixed with the moderate carbonation makes it a very easy drinking brew.

Overall – A pretty easy drinking session style brew. There is nothing great about it but nothing really all that bad. Just a so-so brew.

Decent clear, amber body but only a thin, wispy head. Light malt and corn notes in the smell. Basic malt sweetness in the taste with some residual bitterness showing up near the finish. Light, soft body; clean and dry finish.

A drinkable yet uninspired lager. Good to quench your thirst and probably on par with a classic Budweiser.

A: Pours a crystal clear amber in color with some golden yellow highlights and moderate to heavy amounts of visible carbonation. The beer has a finger tall fizzy light beige head that quickly reduces to a thin film covering the entire surface of the beer with a slightly thicker ring at the edges of the glass - but it does have pretty decent retention qualities. Light amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light aromas of toasted grains and malts with very light notes of grassy hops.

T: Light to moderate flavors of toasted grains and cracker malts with just a slight hint of grassy hops. Light amounts of bitterness which fades quickly.

M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.

O: This is a very easy to drink and low ABV Vienna lager that comes out of Mexico and probably one of the better Mexican brews that you can find in the US (and not one of the easiest to find).

Note: Since I recently added a beautiful daughter to my family and her name is Victoria, I felt compelled to purchase this beer when I saw it on the shelf.
