Served in a iced pint glass at a restaurant, poured from a bottle.
A=Nice, rich brown color with tannish head.
S=Notes of malt present.
T=A very mild dark beer...you can detect hints of caramel, but not much else. I paired with baked chicken with cheese and chorizo, and it did the job of cooling down the hot peppers in teh food, but not much else.
M=Very drinkable...except the more you drink, the more you notice the lack of flavor.
O=Probably still my "go to" Mexican beer, but I want to revisit Tecate and a few others...still, no reason to buy this unless their is nothing better on the menu.

On-Tap @ Azteca Everett...
Came out a piss pour yellow/no head or lacing. huge lime wedge on the edge of the glass.
Not much smell to this. taste is much the same a splash of grain/malt. I squeezed in the lime halfway in... it didnt help things.
Overall a very generic tasting/boring beer.

APPEARANCE: This beer, when poured from a bottle into a pilsner glass, yielded a fizzy 1/2" medium-tan head with virtually no head lacing. What there was dissipated quickly. The body was a cloudy deep amber with soft carbonation. Looks pretty good.
AROMA: Kind of a letdown here -- a bit of nutty malt, bready yeast and a hint of caramel.
TASTE: Pretty much follows the nose. Bready yeast and some malt, though the caramel is stronger than expected. Not bad.
MOUTHFEEL: Medium body, smooth texture, soft carbonation, virtually no body lacing and that which appears has little retention. The initial flavor is lightly sweet with a finish that is very lightly bitter and stays on the tongue for a modest amount of time.
DRINKABILITY: It's possible to drink this all night long but there's really nothing that makes it stand out. It's easy on the budget and I'll probably buy it again for a session beer or for a small warm weather party. It's certainly the best of the Mexican beers that I've tried. Goes great with Tex-Mex food and munchies.

Off-tap at the Cancun airport after a wonderful vacation with my beloved Russian girlfriend this beer was a clear, copper color with one finger of off-white head. The retention of the collar was ok but there was only modest lacing. The aroma was of toasted malt, light bready notes and some dry grains. Much better than any other beer I found in Mexico and it was a welcome change already. The flavors were similarly refreshing. I tasted the bready malt, a hint of nuts, toasted grains and a clean, dry finish. The mouthfeel was average, the body medium/light and the carbonation medium. Of the widely available Mexican beers this was by far the best and it was a great way to finish my vacation.
