Poured from a bottle into a Sam Adam's Perfect Pint.
Appearance - brown and bubbly like soda; builds a creamy off-white head. Lacing is beautiful!
Smell - some stone fruit along with sweet candy malts.
Taste - expected more flavor based on the nose. A bit bland and light.
Feel - light body, very carbonated; comes off a bit watery.
Overall - revisiting this after discovering someone left three of these in my fridge. This is actually much better than I remember, but still only an average beer.

12 oz. bottle poured into a glass. Purchased at the mini market at our resort in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

A-Light copper-brown beer, quite clear. Light tan head, reduces quickly to a bubble layer.

S-Toasty malts, slightly grainy with almost a hint of chocolate.

T-Toasty sweetness with a hint of toffee and a slight earthy/grassy spice. Grainy malt also comes through. Bitterness provides balance, but still allows the malt sweetness through. Finishes with a bit of residual sweetness.

M-Medium-light body, easy moving with a moderate-level carbonation. Overall, refreshing body and feel.

D-Very dinkable, both for ease of drinking and for the relative tastiness of this brew compared to other Mexican brews which I encountered during this vacation.

It's dark brown with just a hint of red. Unlike most Mexican beers, hops are actually detectable in the smell. Also a slight sweetness is present in the smell. The flavor supplies a nice twang that also sets it apart from its Mexican compatriots. The tangy sweetness becomes more noticeable as it warms a bit. If you find yourself in Mexico, it makes a nice change from the others. It's also worth picking up at home, especially if you're entertaining friends who are predisposed to Mexican brews.

look: 3.5 | smell: 3 | taste: 3 | feel: 3 | overall: 3.5

Appearance: Poured a light, caramel brown. A finger of head developed before dissipating to a bubbly lacing.

Smell: Very subtle aroma. Caramel and vanilla.

Taste: It's grainy for a darker brew. Caramel and nutty. There is just a slight hint of hops at the end.

Drinkability: It's not bad. Anyone for dessert after a couple Modelo Especial's?

Poured into a regular pint glass.

A - Poured clear brown color with medium head that quickly dissipated leaving average lacing around the glass.

S - Malts with bready yeast and caramel hints.

T - Sweet malts to start with caramel, fruits and a slightly hoppy flavor following and a slightly dry finish.

M - Light bodied with above average carbonation.

O - Not bad overall, just about average. Good choice of beer from mexican line up. I would recommend it over other mexican beers.

Purchased from Target in Jones Valley, Huntsville, AL.

Not much to say here. I drink these on occasion at Mexican restaurants, but for the most part... eh.

Deep red, almost black coloration with thin wispy head. Clear body, little carbonation.

Sweet, syrupy aroma with a nice malt backbone. No real complexity, but decent as it goes, and perhaps a bit unexpected for a Vienna Lager.

Very sweet, almost coffee flavor. Strong maltiness present in flavor, a bit of yeast in the aftertaste, but the main ingredient here is that syrupy sweetness. No hops at all in flavor profile.

Reasonably thin mouthfeel -- enough to make itself felt, but not enough to make me really like it.

Overall, this is an "eh" beer. I like it all right, but don't buy it for home consumption. I'm glad I only bought a single.

A: pours clear brown with a thin finger of off white head which thins to a light layer.
S: light caramel and burnt sugar, maybe a touch of molasses. hop a lightly pine
T: an almost carbon copy of the smell only with a bit more of and earthy than pine hop.
M: light and watery, but not bad watery. medium carbonation
D: this would be great with some spicy mexican food, but is drinkable on its own.

Deep amber body with a finger of bubbly head.

Caramel malt, grain husk and a little corn syrup on the nose. Decent roasted notes creep in on the finish.

Really strong caramel flavor with a solid, light-roasted finishing bitterness.

Smooth, full body with the right amount of carbonation. By far the best of the Mexican beers and a damn fine example of a Vienna lager. An easy choice when amongst limited selection.

Appearance: Copper; small head that dissipates quickly

Aroma: Malty; sweet; banana taffy smell

Taste: Malty; sweet; a little bitter on finish; not bad overall, but not as good as I remembered.

Remarks: Gave one to my German neighbor. His response, "It's not German."

Did not score A, T, S, M at that time; disregard those scores

A: Pours a very dark brown, not quite black, with a tan head.

S: Some dark malts in the nose, not much else.

T: The malt flavors are on the dark side, although it's a bit watery. It's smooth and pairs well with Mexican food. Finished with a bite and bitterness.

M: Lots of carbonation, light bodied.

D: A decent option, especially when at a Mexican restaurant and the only options are this and Corona.
