Single 12oz can courtesy of my wife's boss; poured into a Modern Times willi becher
P deep mahogany w/ a tiny very light tan head; quick recession to ring; a bit lacking here, imo
N light-med aroma of roast and oat sweetness; pleasant and inviting
T follows nose; a pleasant and smooth profile of roast and sweet oats, w/ a touch of dark fruit (plum?) In the mix; simple and tasty
Mf med to med-full bodied; soft-med carb
O a pleasant stout that exceeded my expectations; solid flavor for the relatively low abv; would have again

Pours dark brown, but slightly translucent. Excellent big foamy tan head. Good lacing.
Simple aromas of sweet chocolate, lactose, and creamy oat.
The flavors are mild but solid. Almost a milk stout in its initial sweetness, some roasted/charred oats in midstream balance this out, delivering darker chocolate and coffee notes.
Decent carbonation, but more of a foamy/smooth delivery on that note.
Everything about this brew is "decent" but that's it. A little too sweet and a little too simply. But still okay.

Look: Dark as night on the pour and a deep brown/ruby red when held to light with a silky tan head that grows rapidly and slowly settles, leaving great lacing behind
Aroma: Roast, fresh baked brown bread, oats, chocolate, some earthy notes, and a light nuttiness as well
Taste: Awesome – this tastes like someone dipped bread into melted dark chocolate, rolled it in oats, and liquified that final product in my glass. Bready notes galore, chocolate, deep roast notes, and oats throughout while some nutty notes join in to fold for the close
Mouthfeel: Full, silky smooth – ridiculously so, medium-high carbonation, and a smooth and soft finish
Overall: This is tasty stuff. Damn, I hadn’t had nor seen this in several years so the purchase was a no-brainer. A delicious oatmeal stout with a nice low ABV and ridiculously smooth feeling throughout. Nice depth of flavor too and this shouldn’t fly under the radar like I figure it might. Highly recommended

"Best by 12/10/14"; drank 10/17/14 @ the Yarchives.
Brown/purple hue.
HUGE dark tan head (careful pouring!); nice lace.
Coffee grounds & fresh earth nose.
Medium thick mouthfeel.
Metallic notes up front; coffee grounds & cream emerge as this warms. Drinkable but not enjoyable.

Deep, dark mahogany brown body; thin, fizzy head. Faint notes of cola and chocolate. Mild cocoa flavor; some low-key sourness. Medium body; smooth and dry.
A rather so-so oatmeal stout. It has some of the slickness with the mouthfeel, but the depth of flavor and aroma is pretty forgettable. Seems almost like an English mild more than a stout. Drinkable but not a must have.

Poured from 12-ounce bottle into a straight-sided glass mug. Deep chestnut-colored body with a ruby highlight here and there. A one-finger light tan head faded rather quickly, leaving no lacing to speak of. Big aromas and flavors of dark roasted malts, with notes of espresso bean and dark cocoa. Mouthfeel is on the thin side for an oatmeal stout, perhaps due to the carbonation which is a little excessive. A little bitterness and a touch of sourness on the finish, which is quite dry. This is a pretty solid beer overall, good flavor and quite drinkable.

12oz bottle, no date. Pours transparent brownish red with a large sized head. Smells and tastes of oat, roasted malt, and earthy hops. Very low intensity but it does leave a pleasant roasty oatmeal aftertaste in your mouth. High carbonation and thin body for the style. Overall, while it has a low intensity and body, it still retains a decent oat profile.
