Notes/Commercial Description:
It's chocolate brown in color with a creamy texture. A malty beer with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. The aroma mostly comes from the malt with a hint of spice added by the hops. Moose Drool is brewed with pale, caramel, chocolate, and whole black malts; and Kent Goldings, Liberty, and Willamette hops.

Bottle my wife acquired for me at Bridgeview Liquors, Moorehead, MN. Poured into a disposable beer glass around a campfire at ~3C

Pours brown with a small tan head that leaves very minor lacing. Light hop aroma, with a slight toasted note. Body continues similarly. Not a bad beer, and likely a great eyeopener for newbies, just nothing great here. Very drinkable, just not a beer I would reach for when given other better micro options.

Poured from a bottle to a glass.

A-Nice dark brown look to it. It had about a quarter inch light brown head.

S-Good aroma. Hints of carmel and chocolate. Some kind of fruit smell I can't quite put my finger on.

T-Good sweet taste. Hints of a brown sugar and chocolate flavor. Kind of a good bitter aftertaste, hard to explain really.

M-Fairly high carbonation and refreshingly smooth.

O-Overall I would recommend this brown ale over many others, including NewCastle, which isn't a bad beer either. I would buy this beer again. If brown ales are your thing then this is a good choice.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass.

A: Dark brown with a thick head that was a light brown in color.

S: Malts, cocoa, and a light raisin smell.

T: Toasted dark malts with more raisins than chocolate I think. I think it definitely finishes dry and a hint of raisins.

M: Medium body with a slightly higher than average carbonation. Feels lighter than it looks.

O: Good stuff. Eashy to drink but complex enough to keep you thinking.

Thanks to Tballz420 for the trade.

Bottle poured into a pint.

The appearance is nice and brown with a good head. The head lingers for a shore while. I didn't really pick up much of an aroma from this beer. The aroma I did get was mildly malty and sweet. I thought the taste was rather one dimensional but extremely delicious. It showcased sweet malt and nutty flavors followed by a slight hop bitterness to round things out. The mouthfeel was kind of light but at least the carbonation wasn't overly stinging.

I think this is a solid brown ale and I wish I could find it here in PA (maybe I can but I have never seen it.) Thanks again to Tballz420.

Poured into a standard pint glass. Light brown color. Transparent enough to see the millions of tiny carbonation bubbles that lead to a two finger, creamy brown colored head.

Smell is lightly roasted flavors of coffee and a bit of smoke. Maybe just a hint of light milk chocolate.

Taste is sweet and lightly roasted. Some coffee notes and some tart fruit come through.

Mouth is silky and the carbonation is light. Body is light and the finish fades quickly and is a bit dry.

Overall I think this is a solid Brown. This is a perfect beer to start out someone interested in trying craft beer. It is just like a light Porter and this could lead someone towards much bigger and greater brews. Note: Try making a beer batter with this beer. It is fantastic!!
