Scape Goat is our award-winning Pale Ale. It is a very smooth brew, refreshing and well-balanced. Scape Goat took home the Gold Medal from the North American Brewers' Association competitions as the best English-style pale ale brewed west of the Mississippi, but only because it is the best. Scape Goat is brewed with pale, crystal malts, and Kent Goldings and Crystal hops.

From old, undated notes. Poured from the can.
Murky light orange color.
Frothy white head; heavy lacing.
Hops mingle with corn in the nose.
Thin mouthfeel.
Taste reveals some grapefruit notes mixed in with bitterness and a bread-y flavor.
Drinkable...not much more.

A nice pale golden color with a fingernail of fluffy head.
Fresh aroma of mosaic hops and baby powder.
Flavor is bitter pine, orange rind, grapefruit rind, and a touch of woodiness. There's a freshness underneath it all, perhaps a hint of mint.
Feel is stabbing and very carbonated, but has a nice parch on the finish.
Overall, a decent Pale Ale I was expecting to be a bummer, but it's not!

Appearance: Chill haze in a gold amber glass that holds a solid white cover of foam which leaves some lacing.
Aroma: Some toffee sweetness, a citric edge, and a mild under attenuated malt note.
Taste: Fairly clean, hops are citric and pine, the malt stays in the background until a little sweetness in the finish. Mild white bread taste as well.
Mouthfeel: Light medium body, firm carbonation makes it a little fizzy. Clean finish.
Overall: Not bad! Not a style I often care for, but this is a solid lawn mower or session beer. Clean, well made, just a lighter style than I care for.

Clear, golden body; thick, rocky head; some rings and globs of foam adhering to the sides of the glass. Cereal grain aroma blended with some sweet grass. Mild esters give a decent fruity flavor offset with a decent hop bitterness. Medium body; glassy and smooth; mostly dry finish.
This pale ale hits the spot. It doesn't stand out in the crowd for any particular reason but is satisfying overall.

12 oz bottle. Smells of pine and nice pot resin. This is an average pale ale. There’s nothing unique here. It’s drinkable, nothing more.

Had a yellow and light amber appearance, filtered appearance with good clarity, 1/2" white head, average retention. Aroma hit some hops and lightly toasted caramel notes.
Kept the caramel coming, the hops in the background. Cascades. Grapefruity. Super sessionable but its not light per se, there is plenty of caramel heavier malt notes to it despite its low abv.
Not bad representation of the English style pale with a little bit of American flair.
