Picked this up on a whim in Belgium; the decision was based mainly on the neat label art. 33cl bottle poured into a Delirium tulip.

A: Light brown, with an almost gold hue. Ridiculously carbonated. Pours with a nice, foamy white head with good retention. Eventually dissipates to leave a crown along with substantial lacing.

S: Caramel, with lots of fruits lying on top. Apricot, peaches, figs, some melon - it's all here. The alcohol is detectable here, but not overpowering. Some mildly grainy scents, with a touch of hops as well.

T: Very sweet, though not cloyingly so. Again, lots of caramel taste, and the malt character is starting to really express itself as the beer warms. Again, lots of fruits - I'm even picking up some apple. While the alcohol is noticable in the smell, it is barely discernable at all in the taste, so that is a definite plus.

M: Pretty light bodied, with tons of carbonation (almost too much). Doesn't leave a cloying aftertaste, which is good. Coats the tongue, but this too dissipates in short order.

D: A bit sweet for me to really desire more than one, but this one is going to be a pleasurable experience. Everything is pretty well balanced, save for the excessive carbonation and sweetness.

Nice amber orange color with a huge thick head with great retention and leaving some laces.
Aroma of orange flavored effervescent vitamin C with some banana and strawberries.
Pleasant flavor with slightly fruity sour notes, a bit of toasted malts, orange skin, strawberry juice, cloves, a touch of banana, figs and green apples and finishing with a hint of pine. Dry aftertaste with a relative to style decent bitterness.
Light to medium body with effervescent carbonation. Alcohol of 7.5% abv is well hidden.
Very good Belgian ale with a unique taste but also pleasant and easy to drink.

I've had this one on tap in Bruges a couple years ago and remember liking it so brought a bottle back with me from latest trip.

33 cl bottle marked as lot F with a BB date of 12/2013. Poured into a pokal glass this beer is lively with a couple thick fingers of a white bubbly head that recedes to a thin layer that laces the glass a bit. A hazy amber with orange hues.

Aromas of spicy phenols, floral honey, and orange peel on top of a grainy malt character. Very nice.

Taste is clean malt with a very slight toastiness, heavy on spicy phenols with just a hint of typical Belgian yeast esters that reminds me of bitter orange. A slight hop linger that is mostly spicy with a little bitter oily bite.

Mouthfeel is on the high end of carbonation which works well in this beer to carry all the flavors. A soft finish with a bit of zing and just a hint of bitterness. Moderate malt mouthfeel with little alcohol bite.

Overall this is a refreshing and very enjoyable Belgian brew. I'd be glad to drink this one regularly. Nice beer.
