Thanks to beerman207 for cracking this at a recent tasting. Poured from the bottle to a pint glass.

Appearance: Pour is a slightly lighter shade of copper and starts with a huge 2 and 1/2 finger head with decent retention and becomes pockmarked and leaves a fair wash of dry/foamy lacing on teh sides of the glass; body is clear and shows light carbonation.

Smell: Mildly bitter hops that are slightly floral in nature; slight pine and citrus scents as well, but I feel it's more floral than anything else; slight scents of a candied sugar and mild bready wheatiness as well.

Taste: Much like the smell, solid floral hoppiness that's not overpowering like I might expect in an IPA; there is a malty sweetness but it's also kind of candy-like and deviates from the more standard caramel-based sweetness I'm accustomed to for balance in this style; slightly wheaty and bready in the far back.

Mouthfeel: Not bad; body is a little thinner than I'd like; carbonation is soft and smooth and could be a tad stronger; also pretty light feeling overall; it's a little sticky on the roof of the mouth, but not offering a lot beyond that.

Drinkability: Not too bad overall, pretty average and has a moderate ABV. I don't think I'd go out of my way to pick some up, but I don't think I'd pass it up if someone offered it to me.

Poured from a 12-oz bottle into pint glass in April 2021. There was no brewed date on the label. I drank this less about 1 month after purchase.

Appearance: Unexpected orange color with 2 finger white head. It is a bright and has a clear color, like other IPAs. Head did not last long time. There is a not much lacing on the glass.

Smell: The aroma filled the room while the beer was being poured. Strong aroma of citrus, pine, and hops, as well as some sweetness like pineapple. Overall the citrus aroma dominates the other aromas.

Taste: Sweet taste with a medium bitter hops edge. Strong pine flavor. There is a typical hops and citrus flavor but with some sweetness as well. This is a little bitter, but not as bitter as other IPAs. Has a nice after taste but it does not last a long time. Overall a good balance.

Mouthfeel: Medium-Strong bodied, which makes this very drinkable. Medium-Strong alcohol which matches the 6.5% listed.

This is a good IPA, but not as flavorful as other IPAs. It's mild flavors make it easier to drink multiple glasses. It has less of a hop edge than many other IPAs. This would be a good IPA to drink in hot weather. I will definitely buy this again.

As an Erie area resident and a frequent visitor to the actually Misery Bay, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this brew. Flavor subtle with hints of grapefruit peel. A good starter beer, If you’re new to the IPA world.

From undated notes; poured from a bottle.

Murky dark orange color.

White head; decent lace.

Caramel & orange citrus nose; hints of pine & burnt sugar.

Medium thin mouthfeel.

Pine is WAY more assertive in the flavor than in the nose. A fresh soap note is detectable but isn't offensive.

Sessionable; decent.

Fairly decent IPA with some nice bitter hop notes and a crisp, refreshing feel. Pours an amber-copper color with a little white foaming head and spotty lingering lacing. Smells of some lighter piney hop notes, weaker floral and grapefruit fruity hops, malt and some caramel. Taste follows the nose, and there’s a fairly pronounced hoppy bitter bite at the end that’s quite pleasant. Smooth, mild, thin mouthfeel and good carbonation. Not too bad at all, easy to drink and enjoy. Just not particularly memorable.

Poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a mild glossy copper color with a fair transparency about it. Mild carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace. Just a wisp of a little white semi-foamy head. Not much lace, just seemed messy and not much there.
The aroma had some sharp crisp piney hops hitting upon some caramel/toffee malts.
The flavor yields to the sweet maltiness of it all to play with the sweet side of the hops. Mild aftertaste of malts with a slight sweet hoppiness about it.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine. Mild finish of the piney bitterness but with a sly dirtiness.
Overall, not sure what to say here - there's so many IPA's on the market these days.....yeah, hmmmmmm.....

Purchased during a recent visit to Erie.

Poured from a bottle into a tulip glass. Not much going on here. Doesn’t taste bad, but a pretty boring beer. Looks pretty good, tastes kind of piney. Not very aromatic. Would not buy again.
