The clerk where I bought this kinda mumbled something when I brought it to the register. I didn't ask him to clarify. Now that I'm getting a good look at the can, though, I think I know what that something may have been. This can is stamped 8/27/2020. So... way outta date. Definitely wouldn't have purchased if I'd noticed. Oh well. It was cheap and I wanted a pilsner. And, I mean, it should be fine. It's not like it's an IPA. My can reads 4.8% ABV, too, by the way.

Pours an incredibly pale straw color and frankly looks watered down. Head is minimal to begin with and vanishes completely in short order. It's not, like, offensive to behold, but it's certainly not a pretty beer. Smell is a little grassy with just the faintest whisper of bittering hops. Maybe some malt; I dunno, there's not a whole lot there. Taste is far more impactful than it smells, thankfully. Again, kinda grassy and grainy with a typical pilsner malt profile. Mild bitter hop bite. Mouthfeel is reasonably soft and chuggable. This isn't terrible or anything, but it's nothing special either. As mentioned, though, this particular sample is way out of date and probably not representative of what the brewer intended.

I probably shouldn't have bothered to review this one and intend to edit after trying a fresher sample.

I tried this beer at the Westside brewery. It was part of a four sample flight. It poured a clear golden with white head. The scent and taste was typical of most pilsners. The mouthfeel was lighter in body and had good carbonation. Overall it was a good beer.

12 oz bottle, picked up an Erie variety pack while visiting family in PA. Poured into a basic pint glass. Light straw color, decent carbonation. I was hoping for a bit more crisp flavor from this pilsner. A touch strong on the malt flavor.

Appearance: Pours a light amber color.

Overall: The taste starts out with a little bit of malt up front followed by some grain and a little bit of sweetness. This beer is pretty bland not much body to it. Does not taste like a craft beer. Good for people who like Miller and Budweiser.

Poured into a Dogfish Spiegelau glass. No freshness date.

A- Pours a light amber color with barely any head that settles to a paper-thin ring around the edge of the glass and a small patch of sheer surface foam. Non-resilient lacing leaves tiny specks behind.

S- Some bready malt that's ever-so slightly sweet.

T- More bready malt and not much else. Hardly any hop presence. Watery flavor with barely any character. Just a typical beer taste with some slight sweetness.

M- Pretty dead and lifeless besides the medium carbonation and lightish body.

O- Quite bland and uninteresting. Not undrinkable, just not something I would ever reach for again. Good thing I got this for free.

A: Pours a bright, clear gold. The head is fairly small, with a soapy white texture. Retention is mediocre, with minimal lacing stuck to the glass.

S: Malty aromas up front, with sweet and grainy notes. Some herbal hop character is present and typical for style.

T: Rather malty, with some medium sweetness and doughy, bready flavor. Medium hop bitterness, with some leafy and herbal flavors.

M: Medium body, with moderate carbonation. The finish is lightly dry.

O: A solid but unspectacular pilsner. Rather malty, but a bit less crisp and dry than I was expecting.
