Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a tulip glass.

Appearance: Beer is a somewhat deeper golden than most APAs. Head is frothy and cream-colored, and reduces to a ring of foam around the edge of the glass.

Smell: Toasted bready malt character. Some butterscotch notable. Less of a hop profile than other APAs I've tasted...but if I had to name them, I'd say more floral than bitter.

Taste/Mouthfeel: Malt is very pleasant here...definite creaminess with the carbonation. Hops are more apparent here than in the nose, and their bitterness mixes extremely well with the malt profile. Aftertaste is 25% bitter, 75% sweet, but in manageable amounts.

Overall: A very tasty beer...possibly a session beer.

A: Pours a clear golden amber with a thin white head that dissipates quickly.

S: Aromas of caramel, biscuit, lemon, lime, herbs, and mandarin orange are present on the nose, but are very muted.

T: Indistinct flavors of lemon, lime, herbs, and mandarin orange take a little time to express themselves, but are muted even further by the emergence of a jumble of caramel, cream, biscuit, and mineral notes at mid-palate. The finish is very short with fleeting notes of minerals, caramel, and orange.

M: Medium in body and dryish. Carbonation is very crisp and intense, but the ale goes down well enough. I have a feeling that if the mouthfeel were a bit better balanced and the carbonation tamed a bit, this ale's flavors would be easier to discern.

O: I really do not know what happened here. Looking at some of the other reviews, I seriously wonder if I have been drinking the same beer. This is a fairly simple, straight-forward ale, but unfortunately it is not simple in an appealing way. There just isn't enough going on in this ale to sustain my interest.

A- Hazy golden amber modest head, ample lacing.

S- Sweet malts, bready, a little yeast in there too. Hop bitterness.

T- Sweet malts vs. Bitter hops 12 rounds no holds barred.

M- Wet and easy. Quality.

O- Not bad at all. Well balanced, nice hop additions. Has an IPA feel without being rude.
