.5L emptied into a Pokal.
A: Pours golden copper with a creamy 1-finger bone white head which quickly receeds to a thin ring. Some lacing in the upper third of the glass.
S: Sour malt, reminicent of a soured melon, but not the fruitiness that I was promised. Mild alcohol edge.
M: Light-to-medium body with mild carbonation.
T: Sweet toasted malt, slightly spicy hops. Bitter fruityness. Warming finish with a mildy astringent aftertaste which lingers.
D: Perhaps there was something wrong with my nose that day, or there was something funky seeping out of this beer. Despite the smell, this was a nice Bock. The alcohol is just a little too apparent for the ABV.
