The pour into my Mahr's mug results in a head that just didn't turn up for the show - just a slight ring of bubbles. Below, the body is a slightly red-tinged copper, and only slightly transparent.
The nose is quite mild, almost to the point of being nonexistent. Not too happy about that.
The taste, though, is all that I like about this style. Rich, malty, and easy. The caramel is light in this one, but is definite throughout, and lingers long into the aftertaste. There's a fresh white bread component, too.
The mouth is medium, with marvelously smooth carbonation. Very nice here!
Another fine O-fest. I wonder which will be my favorite this season?
