Clear, relatively saturated gold color (i.e., a bit darker than expected).
S & T: no flaws per se, but a rather meek and uninteresting mix of light malt and earthy hops.
M: crisp, with medium+ carbonation; light body.
O: marginally better than mediocre Bavarian Helles.
(review largely confirmed with tasting in August 2013)

Appearance - Pours a crystal clear, bright golden hue with a white, frothy 2 finger head. Great retention, leaving a thin layer of bubbles across the surface. Lacing is small and spotty with fair stick.
Smell - Strong aroma of honey and touches of lemon. Slight floral notes. Faint grain.
Taste - After such a tantilizing smell, the flavor is mostly underwhelming. Clean grain, backed by notes of honey and a trace of mild lemon. Touches on grassy bitterness before a somewhat watery finish.
Mouthfeel - Light in body with a crisp, lively bite. Again, the finish is on the watery side.
Overall - It starts off promising enough, but trails off quickly in the finish. It's a good Helles, but just not enough for me to consider it great, much less one of the top examples of the style.

Great looking beer. Finger of foamy head on a clear, golden colored body.
The aroma is milled barley with a little floral note. Nice and simple.
The taste is moderately bitter with a dry bitter at the end.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
It's a simple and good beer.

Pours a pale golden color. Pleasant smell, not floral, generic lager-y. Somewhat bland taste. Good mouthfeel but lacks substance, on the watery side as it lingers. Not too much head but it remains for a while.
Nothing too exciting, and no distinct flavors stand out but very decent overall.
