Picked this up at Maruhn GetrankeMarkt, a great beer store outside of Darmstadt. Crystal clear straw yellow pour with quickly fading two finger head and minimal lacing. Pretty typical, albeit subdued, German pils/helles nose although not as grassy as most with just a touch of metal. Very nicely balanced. Perfect combination of bitterness with just enough sweet malts. Very clean and crisp, and it has that subtle metallic tinge to it that I love. The drinkability is over the top. I often find these helles beers to be too sweet for my taste, but this was a really nice change. I actually prefer this to the draft versions I've had at fests.

Up there with the greats like Ayinger, not quite reaching Augistiner but very respectable nonetheless.

Clear golden colour. White foam, fairly low and not very persistent. Leaves no decoration on the glass.
Very delicate, light, clean malty aroma.
Taste, like the aroma, very delicate, faint. It is slightly sweet with a bitter finish.
Saturation high. Body medium downwards. Texture smooth. Aftertaste very short slightly bitter.

Noticably lighter in colour than their Münchner Gold. Pale straw yellow colour. Huge sweet straw and grain on the nose, as well as some earthy and lemon citrus hops. Much hoppier than how I remember their Münchner Gold. I like that. Excellent and interesting hops character, huge sweet-ish grainy (but not quite bread dough) malt. This one is a real chugger. Goes down a treat too. Overall an outstanding Bavarian Helles, even outstanding by Bavarian Helles standards. Wish it was easier to find outside of Germany.

My personal favorite in Munich. Endlessly crushable and crisp. Slightly sweet with a long lasting foam head and medium carbonation. A classic bavarian brew.

Pours a clear gold color. White and fluffy head formation. Mild retention. Bready, herbal on the nose. Malty, bready taste with mild bitterness. Light mouthfeel.

Poured at fridge temp from a 500ml bottle. Pours transparent yellow with an inch of white head. Tons of bubbles throughout. The nose is honey, wheat, a touch of caramel, bready malts, and some candy. Very nice.
The taste is super smooth. Layers of sweetness emerge right away. Candy, honey, plums, apples, caramel, wheat, oranges, pears, and just a touch of leather. I'm really enjoying this one. Mouthfeel is light and the aftertaste is predominantly sweet.

Draft pint in The Hope Carshalton. Definitely a Helles not a Pils. Less character than some (though more than others). Worthwhile.

I enjoyed this beer.
Fridge temperature poured from a can in a straight-sided glass Stein. Eleven months before the sell-by date (that helps I'm sure).
Pours a finger-width head, which fades but leaves some nice lacing.
Crystal clear.
I'm no beer expert -- I mostly drink pils, and believe there's pilsner malts here [I should check the style book...]
This is a nicely balanced beer; clean tasting. It would get better reviews if it had more character. For me though, the balance is one of the most importrant thing in a beer. After that I want no bad tastes intruding (what you usually get from German big brewery beers), and I'm happy. I dont need hops that take over -- the hops here are well balanced bitterness that knocks out that sweetness that some Helles have.
There is a bit of sweetness in the very finish though, and an off-putting wateryness.
