A: The beer is jet black in color and poured with a short, dense tan colored head. The head gradually died down and left only a thin collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of roasted malts are present in the nose. Some notes of lactose and coffee become noticeable once the beer warms up.
T: The taste has flavors of roasted malts, coffee beans, and licorice along with notes of lactose towards the finish. Hints of vanilla and sweetness gradually become perceptible after the beer has warmed up.
M: It feels medium- to full-bodied and a little smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation
O: This beer starts off tasting like a Russian Imperial Stout with all of its bold, roasted malt flavors but then mellows out and tastes more like a coffee milk stout once the beer warms up.
