Bottle from Wegmans. Light amber, medium fluffy head. More on the malty side of IPA, taste and aroma are sweet caramel and toffee with a nice sharp sting at the finish. Walks the line between English and American IPAs.

16 oz. Can
A clear amber coloration with golden hues. Rocky, off white foam cap, dirty sea foam. Old school West coast appearance. A slight bit of lace leftover.
The nose has an amber malty tinged malt and fruity pine hop scent. Once again, West coast style effect. The malt is sweet and bready the hops have pine earth and sweet candy aromatics.
Alpha acidic and slightly bitter hop taste up-front, with piney and slightly fruity tones. Sweet amber malty backbone gives you sweet dark bread and caramel flavors.
The mouthfeel and body seems very light, practically watery but with a dry finish. Layers of tangy hops add a certain depth and the dry effect at the end.
Overall, I'm personally over West coast style IPA's, but that's a personal thing, style wise, good balance but certainly a bit "thin" overall.

Bitey and hoppy but I like it on a hot day. It is very bitter but has a grapefruit taste. As a 1.5x IPA, it is quite strong but enjoyable. Quite refreshing IMO. One of my favorite IPAs. Disappointed I can't find it in NC.
