A classic IPA focused on balance and drinkability with a thoughtful blend of American and German grown hops. Resinous without being sticky, malty depth without being sweet and like all Moonlight beers, kept unfiltered yet cold conditioned for clarity.

A: crystal clear; deep gold in color; 1 finger finely pored off white head that receded to a thin cap; very nice lacing;

S: grapefruit, pineapple, and orange;

T: through the middle, it's pine and grapefruit with pineapple and orange in the background; after that, it follows the nose through the finish; moderate bitterness at the end;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation ;moderately dry finish;

O: a little too citrus/tropical fruity for my taste, but otherwise a nice representation of the style;

Bombay By Boat IPA pours a darker copper color with a large, long-lasting frothy head. The aroma is intense and earthy aromas. The flavor has a hint of earth, lots of resin, and a good indication of bitter pine. Good feel. Overall, a very vegetative IPA.

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours deep orange with a fluffy white head. Smells of fresh floral and citrus hops. Tastes of citrus and piney hops. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

Moonlight: Bombay by Boat
Appearance (Look) – Rich copper color. Frothy head.
Aroma (Smell) – Malty caramel and dank pine.
Taste – Resinous with caramel sweetness but not sticky.
Mouthfeel (Feel) – Kind of thin
Overall – They state not sticky and definitely achieved that but I wished it was sticky. I would’ve liked stickier and more flavor. I guess I’ll just need like 3 of these instead of one then!

Beautiful amber pour with the classic merengue head, initial malty Carmel taste finished with resinous pine bitter, and mouth smacking dryness. Mouthfeel is really creamy with this.
Canned 5/24 drunken 7/21 from the magic box!

Deep copper in color. Head was white, viscous and lead to nice lacing. Nose was malty and toasted caramel sweetness. Taste and feel is where the magic happened. Nice initial balance of the hops and malts, then the bitterness hits and builds to a natural imbalance of greatness! Very WELL done!

West Coast IPA Box:

Pours golden/amber with a thick white head. Aroma is mild bready with a touch of hop notes. Taste is more malty than hop, but there's still some hop character in there. Feel is very good, nice a rich with a touch of bitterness in the aftertaste. Overall a bit more malty than expected, but still a tasty one.

A: Pours a clear medium golden honey in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate amber + burnt orange + copper + medium golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense sudsy foamy beige head that slowly reduces to a handful of small to medium sized patches of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of slightly mottled thin film and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of citrus/grapefruit pith + citrus/grapefruit + citrus/grapefruit zest + floral + resinous hops over the top of just shy of moderate aromas of toasted + caramel + bready malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel sweetness.

T: Upfront there are just shy of moderate flavors of toasted + caramel + bready malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of citrus/grapefruit pith + citrus/grapefruit + citrus/grapefruit zest + floral + resinous hops which impart a light to moderate amount of lingering bitterness.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly soft with a light to moderate amount of dryness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a pleasantly dry mouthfeel. Very enjoyable with a nice combination of citrus + resinous + floral hop flavors and aromas.

Pours a beautiful unfiltered golden color that cleans as the beer warms and you drink it, and it sports a cream off white head with moderate lacing. Beautiful WCIPA. The nose features some citrus and floral hops, resiny pine, and there’s a nice caramalt note as well.

The hook has been baited.

The hook is set on the taste with the big resiny pine flavors that provide a very nice bitterness, with balance provided by grapefruit and lemon flavors, and a nice dollop of caramalt that mingles with the residual bitterness at the back of the palate.

The mouthfeel is medium and dry, on point for the style. This is my first beer from Moonlight, and I’m a fan - they executed this OG WCIPA exceptionally well, IMHO.

Canned 5/24, from the BA WCIPA Box. Clear, light golden amber color with a thick head. Piney aroma, some dankness. First taste is quite hoppy right up front, very dry, maybe a bit too intense for some, but the hop- heads will love it. Great use of the malt adds a welcome dimension. As the beer warms, the hops are more tempered, so keep that in mind. All together, a well built IPA and very enjoyable with just 6.2% ABV.

Pours a golden with white head, good retention. I get rose/rose water on the nose. It kind of has an old school pale ale way about it, sorta like SNPA but with less pronounced malt character, but rather one that blends in. It isn't super complex, but this is super solid.

16oz can. From the WCIPA Box. Stamped on can bottom is 'CANNED ON 05/24/23'.
Clear, deep gold colored body. Two fingers of off white head, which takes several minutes to recede to a fluffy cap. Leaves behind extensive strings and webs of lacing.
Aroma is faint but there is floral hops, also a bit of citrus. Toasted malt base.
Taste has a toasted malt base but is not overly sweet. The hops are floral and also express some bitter citrus pith. The bitterness extends deep into the aftertaste.
Medium plus mouth feel. As described, has resin without stickiness. Excellent carbonation.
Solid West Coast IPA, with its solid malt base and long lasting bitterness. Not juicy and not sweet. Leaves the mouth rather dry.
