I had this beer on tap at David Burke Prime Steakhouse in Foxwoods Casino. I found it drinkable and the quality was fine but nowhere near my favorite IPA.

This ale came light gold in color with a thin white head. The smell and flavor go hand-in-hand. There’s a large amount herbal and pine with no great bitterness at all. There’s a big lack of malt which makes the mouth feel a bit watery.

Nothing turns me off more than a watery mouth feel, hence my score. It's the reason I drink craft beer in the first place. Others may like this version of IPA but its not for me.

A = Light golden amber, similar to a heavy lager. Frothy head with very little lacing.

S = Fresh, Hoppy, Light Flowers.

T = Lovely hoppiness, lightly malted. Very crisp and finishes dry on the palate.

M = Fresh, light-medium bodied. Just enough carbonation.

O = Mine was bottle on 6/4/14 and tasted on 8/3/14. Delicious and fresh and extremely "session worthy."" A great summer IPA. Lucky YOU, who live on Long Island! Cheers!

Growler filled at Yorktown Beer and soda in Yorktown, NY

Pours near clear lighter amber, with a medium honey hue. Nice and tiny eggshell bubbles make up the moderate head. Leaves quality looking fine fields of sheeting.

Grapefruit and apricots on the nose.

Quite enjoyable AIPA, wth grainy hops, grapefruit and pinapple fruity notes balancing out the honey malts. Delicious creation from Blue Point, well done. Glad to get to try a fresh and tasty growler of this one.

12 oz bottle.
Pale amber color with a very durable off-white head.

Mildly pungent aroma of Mosaic hops with a hint of honey.
These also dominate the flavor. {Note that Mosaic is not among my favorite hop varieties}

Feel: near medium body and medium carbonation.

O: a very flavorful version of a low ABV IPA. A winner if you want a session IPA built on Mosaic hops.

Aroma is clean grainy pale malt with mosaic scents of candy fruit, indeterminate berries, melon, peach, earthy mixed with tropical. Some piney citrus as well. Taste is similar. All around this is soft in intensity, as is appropriate with a session beer I suppose. Bitterness is easy throughout, then perky through the finish. Flavors include pine, melon gone tropical, floral, some spice and citrus. Not bad. Mouthfeel is clean and liquidy, with a touch of swirly creaminess.... Medium-light in body and certainly easy to consume. This beer is pleasant with an interesting hop profile.

Pours a golden straw color with a short dense pure white head. Not much lacing settles into a light cap.

The aroma is of musty hops with an apricot note. Meh.

The taste is light. Light malt not much there which is ok for a session IPA. The hops are weak. A bit grassy and leafy with hints of apricot. Tastes like English hops.

Moderate feel with prickly carbonation. Lightly sweet on the palate with a hoppy bitter offset. Drinks easy.

A rather boring session IPA. Not a big fan of the hop profile but it does drink quite well.

Y'know, this is actually pretty good! I had my hesitations @ $5.99 for a 4pk of 16oz cans from a brewery owned by AB-InBev, but I was thoroughly impressed. It's obviously not a full-on mosaic bomb, but there's plenty of grapefruit and tropical notes to keep things interesting. Pair that up with a lovely prickly mouthfeel, and you have a great session brew.

It's contract brewed at Two Roads, so I'm not surprised that people are getting bad cans here and there, but since I'm about an hour away from the brewery, these cans were fresh and delicious. Definitely my go-to session IPA now.

TL;DR: Give it a shot! They might be owned by AB-InBev, but this one was brewed by Two Roads.

4/26...pours light gold, white sticky foam. Sharp citrus and pine nose. Smooth mellow taste with a prickly hop. Bitter pops up and subsides. A little peppery. Simple with a nice bitter.

i haven't been this blown away by a beer in years.

The beer was on cask and had just came in so it was as fresh as could be.

The first thing was it looked awesome with a big pillowy white head.

Then the nose. This is where this beer made me say holy *#%$. I stopped and smelled for 2 minutes before i even sipped. It was floral and red grapefruit and tropical fruits. just so complex and amazing.

The taste didn't disappoint and followed suit. with passion fruit. sweet grapefruit citrus. there was really no discernible hop bitterness. just oily and floral. maybe the cask subdued the bitterness but this is why it was really unique and great

mouthfeel was excellent and the cask may have had something to do with the experience. it was perfect just barely cool temp so it really opened up all the flavors and mouth feel.

this is an outstanding beer super fresh on cask and I cant wait to try it on standard tap. Cask will be hard to beat though.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. has a golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of dominated by citrus. Taste is grapefruit, mild bitterness, mild and easy drinking. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall a pretty good beer, a little more tart and less hop forward than I am used to in an IPA.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Sampled on August 9, 2014.

It pours a fairly typical looking pale yellow to light amber with a cloudy hop haze and a tremendous soft white head.

The aroma is in your face with those mosaic floral and citrus hop sensations intermixing beautifully with the roasted breaded malts.

The body is well above medium and more on the heavy, smooth side.

The floral hop bitterness does not back down in the flavor in the least and it mingles with the roasted malt adding its touch of character to the mix. Lingering finish.

On tap at Acme Bar and Pizza in Rochester, NY.

Pours a golden orange amber color. 2 inches of head, good lacing down the glass.

Smells like oranges, apricotes, pineapples, and pine.

Similar taste. Remarkably clean and dry taste to this session IPA- lots of flavor packed into small ABV. The Mosaic hops shine- fruity, juicy, and succulent hop flavor, backed up by significant pleasant bitterness. Probably the best session IPA I've ever had.

Light bodied, as I would have guessed. Good carbonation, dry and crisp mouthfeel.

The best I've had from Blue Point, for sure.

Counter-pressure fill from Tasty Beverage

Clear gold color with a tall pure-white head that extends over the rim of the glass. Aromas of oily hops, herbs, blueberry, earth, floral notes, and some dank pine. Light, resinous hop flavor...green and clean, bitter lemon, pine, and some cereal malt. A sort of mango and berry-like quality too. Light and a little creamy. Refreshing and pretty tasty overall.

As you'd expect with a session, it's very easy to drink and soft of the palette. It's light and easy even for a session. A nice hoppy note, some honey. There's a bit of a watermelon taste. Light and smooth. The color is straw gold and it is opaque but quite bright. There's a good foamy head with a bit of lacing. There are lines of bubbles rising up throughout. It has a solid hoppy and wheaty scent.

A: The beer is slightly hazy dark yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down, leaving lots of lacing on the surface and the sides of the glass and a collar around the edge.
S: Moderate aromas of mango and orange hops are present in the nose.
T: Much like the smell, the taste has lots of flavors of citrusy and tropical fruit hops, which also contribute a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied and rather crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I enjoyed this IPA as it had bright aromas and flavors of orange and citrus. It is quite easy to drink due to its relatively light body and lack of any strong bitterness.

I'm pretty stoked about this 'session' IPA. It has a great, hoppy, citrus flavor that belies it's low alcohol content. The nose and taste are fantastic, and thus will be my summer backyard party beer. This is one of my favorite Blue Point beers and I hope they make it one of their year round products.

Well done, Blue Point!

On draft at the brewery.

Poured a light copper hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was Goid retention and lacing.

The smell featured vibrant citrusy mosaic hops with a fresh cereal malt.

The taste was fresh and clean clean with a springing citrus and round malt.

The mouthfeel was toward the lighter side of the style by design.

Overall a tasty hop forward session ale.

Underwhelming all around, pours straw color with faintly detectable hop aroma of grass. I feel like they went too far with the ’session’ theme, muting everything IPA in this to the point where it’s not really enjoyable.

Picked this listing to review I am not sure why their is another one listed as 5.2% as far as I know its only been brewed once at 4.8%

A - The lightest of the session IPA's I have had tonight just a bright yellow mild orange hue with a hazy color. Head is decent just a 1/4 inch that settles to a very attractive lace ring.
S - Ah good hop aroma very dank and herbal. Kind of faded at this point but still very piney and sweet.
T - Mild honey like body with sweet malts meets semi bitter earthy hop taste. Pretty nice.
M - Light bodied not as watery as I expected. Decent!

Overall a pretty nice tasting session IPA worth picking up!

On-tap 4/7/2014 at Doherty’s Ale House, in Warwick, RI served in a tapered pint glass.

A: The beer is a light gold color, with a large foamy white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains floral hops, citrus and light caramelized malts.

T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of citrus and caramel. Then a strong, earthy and floral hops bitterness comes in. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and brings some balance. The after-taste is slightly hoppy and slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, this is a decent sessionable IPA to drink for while.

On tap at 2 Bros. Pours a translucent straw color with an inch of frothy head. Some lacing. The aroma is some sweet citrus, grapefruit, and some lightly toasted malts. The taste is the malts upfront followed by some of the grapefruit. Some floral notes as well as the citrus at the finish. Light and very drinkable with a good amount of hops. This is another pretty decent Session IPA. The Mosaic hops stand out nicely. Overall, worth grabbing again. Hoping this one finds it way into cans.

Pours a clear golden yellow, left a fizzy white head that receded quickly, left minimal lacing on the glass.

Smells hoppy, tropical fruit notes.

Taste falls a bit short. Grassy grapefruit in the hops yield the most minor of fruity flavors while leaving no stops for the pungent bitters. Not difficult to drink, by any means, but certainly has all the failings of the majority of IPAs I've sampled, which is mainly a balance issue.

Light-medium bodied, wouldn't call it crisp as it does have a bit of an oily feel, but it certainly is refreshing.

For the price point, it is a most decent pick.

Bottled 5/05/14, little old but could be good.

Nice foamy soapy 1 finger head fades at a med pace, great soapy lacing, clear golden color.

Nose aged hop, nice grassy floral notes with lots of rind and pith, earthy terrior, fruity peach like, little grainy cracker.

Taste musty hop, mild resin, nice pith and citrus, grassy and earthy terrior, mild fruity citrus, faint tropical notes. Nice dry finish, pretty bitter throughout and even more on the finish, nice mild resin and tropical musty fruit, juicy, fair bitter, smooth.

Mouth is med bod, nice carb.

Overall pretty nice, esp for how old it is.
