Pours a slightly hazy, light yellowish color, with a modest, bubbly head. Has a wonderful, unique aroma of hops, citrus, fruit, not really skunky at all. Great smelling beer, but not at DIPA levels. The taste follows suit. It's light, crisp and with a solid chunk of hops in every sip (not literally). Mouthfeel is good. It's light and a little watery if you're used to higher abv beers, but that's to be expected. Overall, one of the better hopped up session ales I've had. Fantastic beer for summer and as I expected, it's getting little love on here, not because it isn't really good, but because it's a lighter, more subtle beer; the kiss of death for BA ratings. Nice job Blue Point!

A = Light golden amber, similar to a heavy lager. Frothy head with very little lacing.

S = Fresh, Hoppy, Light Flowers.

T = Lovely hoppiness, lightly malted. Very crisp and finishes dry on the palate.

M = Fresh, light-medium bodied. Just enough carbonation.

O = Mine was bottle on 6/4/14 and tasted on 8/3/14. Delicious and fresh and extremely "session worthy."" A great summer IPA. Lucky YOU, who live on Long Island! Cheers!

12 oz bottle.
Pale amber color with a very durable off-white head.

Mildly pungent aroma of Mosaic hops with a hint of honey.
These also dominate the flavor. {Note that Mosaic is not among my favorite hop varieties}

Feel: near medium body and medium carbonation.

O: a very flavorful version of a low ABV IPA. A winner if you want a session IPA built on Mosaic hops.

Aroma is clean grainy pale malt with mosaic scents of candy fruit, indeterminate berries, melon, peach, earthy mixed with tropical. Some piney citrus as well. Taste is similar. All around this is soft in intensity, as is appropriate with a session beer I suppose. Bitterness is easy throughout, then perky through the finish. Flavors include pine, melon gone tropical, floral, some spice and citrus. Not bad. Mouthfeel is clean and liquidy, with a touch of swirly creaminess.... Medium-light in body and certainly easy to consume. This beer is pleasant with an interesting hop profile.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Sampled on August 9, 2014.

It pours a fairly typical looking pale yellow to light amber with a cloudy hop haze and a tremendous soft white head.

The aroma is in your face with those mosaic floral and citrus hop sensations intermixing beautifully with the roasted breaded malts.

The body is well above medium and more on the heavy, smooth side.

The floral hop bitterness does not back down in the flavor in the least and it mingles with the roasted malt adding its touch of character to the mix. Lingering finish.

On tap at Acme Bar and Pizza in Rochester, NY.

Pours a golden orange amber color. 2 inches of head, good lacing down the glass.

Smells like oranges, apricotes, pineapples, and pine.

Similar taste. Remarkably clean and dry taste to this session IPA- lots of flavor packed into small ABV. The Mosaic hops shine- fruity, juicy, and succulent hop flavor, backed up by significant pleasant bitterness. Probably the best session IPA I've ever had.

Light bodied, as I would have guessed. Good carbonation, dry and crisp mouthfeel.

The best I've had from Blue Point, for sure.

Counter-pressure fill from Tasty Beverage

Clear gold color with a tall pure-white head that extends over the rim of the glass. Aromas of oily hops, herbs, blueberry, earth, floral notes, and some dank pine. Light, resinous hop flavor...green and clean, bitter lemon, pine, and some cereal malt. A sort of mango and berry-like quality too. Light and a little creamy. Refreshing and pretty tasty overall.

As you'd expect with a session, it's very easy to drink and soft of the palette. It's light and easy even for a session. A nice hoppy note, some honey. There's a bit of a watermelon taste. Light and smooth. The color is straw gold and it is opaque but quite bright. There's a good foamy head with a bit of lacing. There are lines of bubbles rising up throughout. It has a solid hoppy and wheaty scent.

A: The beer is slightly hazy dark yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down, leaving lots of lacing on the surface and the sides of the glass and a collar around the edge.
S: Moderate aromas of mango and orange hops are present in the nose.
T: Much like the smell, the taste has lots of flavors of citrusy and tropical fruit hops, which also contribute a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied and rather crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I enjoyed this IPA as it had bright aromas and flavors of orange and citrus. It is quite easy to drink due to its relatively light body and lack of any strong bitterness.

On draft at the brewery.

Poured a light copper hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was Goid retention and lacing.

The smell featured vibrant citrusy mosaic hops with a fresh cereal malt.

The taste was fresh and clean clean with a springing citrus and round malt.

The mouthfeel was toward the lighter side of the style by design.

Overall a tasty hop forward session ale.

Underwhelming all around, pours straw color with faintly detectable hop aroma of grass. I feel like they went too far with the ’session’ theme, muting everything IPA in this to the point where it’s not really enjoyable.

On tap at 2 Bros. Pours a translucent straw color with an inch of frothy head. Some lacing. The aroma is some sweet citrus, grapefruit, and some lightly toasted malts. The taste is the malts upfront followed by some of the grapefruit. Some floral notes as well as the citrus at the finish. Light and very drinkable with a good amount of hops. This is another pretty decent Session IPA. The Mosaic hops stand out nicely. Overall, worth grabbing again. Hoping this one finds it way into cans.

Bottled 5/05/14, little old but could be good.

Nice foamy soapy 1 finger head fades at a med pace, great soapy lacing, clear golden color.

Nose aged hop, nice grassy floral notes with lots of rind and pith, earthy terrior, fruity peach like, little grainy cracker.

Taste musty hop, mild resin, nice pith and citrus, grassy and earthy terrior, mild fruity citrus, faint tropical notes. Nice dry finish, pretty bitter throughout and even more on the finish, nice mild resin and tropical musty fruit, juicy, fair bitter, smooth.

Mouth is med bod, nice carb.

Overall pretty nice, esp for how old it is.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass

Clear bright yellow.

Decent medium foam head.

Smells like lemon sweet tarts.

Taste, orange/tangerine soda, a little bit of chalk board dust, pine cleaner, cedar

feels spunky, medium carbonation, medium side of light bodied, very little alcohol bite

a little weird thing is the... well... the burps are really sweet... much sweeter than the beer itself...

begs to be enjoyed with some french fries.

Pours a light golden color. White head forms and leaves behind a sticky web of lacing. Aroma of citrus fruit and herb, with a slight bready note. In the taste, pale sweet malts upfront giving way to a solid bitterness and twang of citrus hops. Slightly herbal and earthy, but nice for sure. Light, under carbonated body making the beer flimsy if not altogether watery. Overall, a slightly below average ipa but it has its merits.

A: Cloudy pale orange. Sports 1 finger of dense white head. The head has staying power after poured.

S: Very pleasant tropical fruits and grass smell.

T: Follows the nose with some grapefruit and pine. Slight bitter finish but good overall flavor. No real sweetness present.

M: Nice mouthfeel - correct body and carbonation for this type.

O: This one was about 120 days old. I'd like to try one a little fresher. That being said this is really nice. I guessed the ABV at about 5.8% (it is actually 4.8%). There is no alcohol taste present. At 4.8 and given the low bitterness and low ABV these are very sessionable.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 2/27/2014. Moderate gusher upon opening. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy bright gold color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, apricot, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, light pine, cracker, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of bright citrus/tropical hops and light-moderate pale malt sweetness; with solid strength. Taste of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, apricot, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, floral, grass, cracker, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, apricot, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, cracker, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of bright citrus/tropical/piney hops and light-moderate pale malt sweetness; with a crisp bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly sticky/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present as expected of 4.8%. Overall this is a very good session IPA. All around good complexity and balance of bright citrus/tropical/piney hops and light-moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

This was one of the better sessions that I've had to date even though the B/D date was February.
Has a nice color, orange amber with a medium size head. Very clear.
Aroma was floral and piney hops.
A good drinking beer thats well balanced with some hoppy notes and bready malts.
It is a session so they also lean. Finishes dry and slightly bitter. It's a good beer.

Sunshine blonde with fast fading loose with froth.
White peach skin, apricot compote, and a bit of must - interesting nose.
Cream crackers, then lime curd, gooseberries, spicy white grape skin, and musk melon hops.
Lemon balm end and pith linger.
Light, crisp, slightly oily.

Watery, but interesting hops. Plays a bit like Nelson Sauvin. A bit too lean, though, which doesn't help the thinness. Thirst inducing more than thirst quenching.

Appearance: The clear goldenstraw liquid is capped by a couple of inches of foam; more than a few strands of lacing appear

Smell: Fresh fruit (hints of strawberry and watermelon) join a hint of grapefruit

Taste: More bitterness on the tastebuds than I was expecting in the aroma, the grapefruit pith arrives early and the fresh fruit elements are only hinted at, after the swallow; dry finish

Mouthfeel: Light bodied with moderate carbonation

Overall: To be honest, I have had better session IPAs, but this is quite enjoyable on its own merits

Thanks, sj3324, for the opportunity

Poured from the bottle into a Turbinator.

A: Big soapy white head with two fingers height which dissipated to a compact 1 finger head slowly. Medium yellow in appearance. Fairly clear.

S: That big Mosaic hit we all know and love. some toasty malt supplants the hop. Yeast is mild and bready. Wow. This lives up to IPA billing on the nose.

T: surprisingly smooth for this much rough hop scents. big mosaic presence, as billed. that big earthy mosaic dirty scent and taste. some light funkiness peeks around the edges from the complex mosaic hop.

M: creamy and semi-full. Very pleasant on the carbonation, lively.

O: Solid and very light on the ABV with big flavor. BMC could learn a thing or two from this brew.
