From the bottle. This is a really good fruity beer. It's slightly sweet but not cloying. Great mouthfeel and smell. I'd recommend, as long as one enjoys the fruity/sweeter brews..

I first found this in my local store's steal cave. I found it for $3 for a 6 pack. I figured I would give it a shot. This was my go to summer BBQ beer. It smells of an ale with some light blueberry hints. The taste is that of a good solid ale with again slight blueberry flavor. It is not sweet or overpowering just a good summer beer that is not full of hops. Overall this would be a great beer for the casual beer drinker and yeah at that price I stocked my fridge and it lasted through the fall!

I didn't favor it much at first, but it's growing on me. It's a very blueberry smelling beer, and I was expecting it to pour a bluish color at first. It's smooth, lightly carbonated. Hint of blueberry taste for sure but straight to an ale taste after the blueberry subsides. Minimal lacing, half finger of head. Probably delicious cold on a hot summer day.

A- Pours a bright yellow gold in color with a creamy, slightly off white head that retains very well. Lacing is also very good.

S- Classic friuty pebble blueberry scent is the dominant scent here. Fruity and sweet the whole way through, this beer's smell is not very complex and little to no malt is detectable behind the blueberry.

T- Pretty much on the opposite end of the spectrum from what you would expect from the scent. Starts with a touch of the blueberry fruity sweetness before turning right to the malt of the golden ale base. Light malts intermingle with the fruit flavors and overtake them rather quickly, molding the beer into more of a light lager type of taste. Finishes with lingering light malts on the tongue.

M- Smooth, a little low on the carbonation, and easy to drink. This would be a pretty refreshing summer time beer.

Overall, I'm a little disappointed with the lack of blueberry in the taste when compared to the scent, but the base beer has a quality taste to back it up.

Delicous flavor. Tastes like blueberry. Has a slight head poured into a pint glass. I would drink it again.

06/02/12 On tap at Beer Authority, NYC. Gettin' in that summer mood?

Had this & found more than a hint of blueberries under the nose, which tames once it's on the tongue.

If your looking for the whole enchilada of a blueberry pie experience, this ain't it. There's none of the ubiquitous cinnamon/clove to speak of. If you really want that, your in the wrong bakery. But trust us/them/me this brew will not disappoint.

What you WILL find is an unadulterated berry flavor. Don't make that face. Remember when you first tried those wild blueberries out of hand beside the bush they grew on? Well fine...because this ain't that either... but it's close. Give them a break, it's a beer and a really good one at that.

Start here when your just out of the sun & getting prepared for some heavier lifting w/your next choice.

I was happy to see that this wasn't overly sweet. Quite delicious in fact! It has a light smooth flavor and a slight hint of blueberry at the end. I would say this is a fruit flavored beer that I could have more than one! I don't mind sweetness but I feel a lot of beers tend to add way too much sugar when using fruit. Blue Point nailed it perfectly to me! Its light and refreshing and finishes with a wonderful blueberry fruitiness.

Light head a little or no lacing. Dark color and the aroma of fresh blueberries hits you right away. Taste is slightly subdued and the flavor is of fresh blueberries. No spices or breadiness, just light blueberry. Very refreshing

Delicious beer. Cracked one open on this super hot day and it went down way too fast. It almost sent me right back to the store to buy a six pack. Nice fresh blueberry taste on a light blonde ale. It's my first time trying a blueberry flavored beer and it did not disappoint.

Coming from someone who is very wary of fruit centered beers, this one is not that bad. The appearance was a hazy yellow with a tint of red in there. The smell was full of blueberries, the taste was a little bit more subtle but blueberries are definitely the focal point. I was happily surprised about the mouthfeel in that it was not overly syrupy or thick. Good to try if you like sweet beers.

Notes are from 5/24

A pale yellow color, mostly clear with just a touch of haze off the tap, this beer grows a not exactly spritzy, maybe somewhat fizzy white head that gathers some density as it eases down. It's not too long before it's a thick foam on the top, managing mostly spotting as it goes.
The aroma showcases the blueberry, pretty pure and clean, with a pale malts base offering the dusty and dry earthy notes similar to wheat. A hint of grass speaks to the hops.
The taste is light, the blueberry still coming through but not as strongly over the musty, dry, earthy malts and grainy notes. Yeast is pretty strong but not overly heavy.
It's light-bodied, but I wouldn't call it thin. It works to bring out the softer flavors and brings a crisp bite while offering some smoothness as well.

Poured bottle into glass. 4.6 abv

Appearance- Light, bright gold yellow. Small head that dissipates fast.

Smell- Some bready malt with lots and lots of fresh blueberry aroma.

Taste- Has a watery lager taste up front that later gives hints of the blueberry. Some wheat as well but a bit bland. Not near as fruity as the smell which was surprising.

Mouthfeel- Very light and thin. Almost watery. Little carbonation at all.

Overall- Not very complex. More or less a miller light with a little bit of blueberry in there. Would be nice if it were more fruity and heavier in body.

12 oz bottle served in a snifter.

Pours lightly hazy, amber colored, with a thin white head.
Aroma: blueberry pancakes with blueberry syrup and biscuits on the side.

Flavor: While the aroma suggests a sweet brew with a heavy handed contribution of blueberry flavoring, such is not the case: very balanced in terms of fruit/malt and sweet/tart.

Feel: medium-light body; rather crisp carbonation with a semi-dry finish.

O: well done and better than expected.

[Suggested Glassware: Shaker Glass]

The pour was a clear light amber with an average (1-2 finger) white frothy head that reduced quickly, down to a thin cap that lasted throughout and had fair spotty lacing.

The aroma was a tad mild with a light grain malt, a mild doughy yeast and a bold scent of blueberries, but not much else.

The taste was mild like the aroma and had a lightly sweet maltiness in the beginning, and then a light infusion of blueberry crept in along with a slight tartness at the end. The flavor faded off the taste buds very quickly, with just a hint of blueberry left behind.

Mouthfeel was light in body and watery in texture with an almost soft carbonation.

Overall I found this to be a light and mellow tasting brew with just the right amount of blueberry flavor. Definitely would be OK on a hot summer’s day, when you want to have more than just a few...

Had on-tap at Green Dot Stables in Detroit, Michigan.

Appearance: Orange -- no head, not really any visible carbonation, zero lacing... nothing to it, really.

Smell: The best part. It just has a fresh, fruity, berry aroma to it. There's some malt, but there's no denying that this is a fruit beer.

Taste/feel: Eh... I'm surprised this beer has over an 80 rating. There's blueberry sorts of flavors, with caramel malts, and then it's gone. It could be really refreshing over something like a Shandy in the hot sun, but this wasn't anything special just sitting at the bar. Not bad, but I've had much better fruit beers. Pretty damn forgettable. On the plus side, this isn't overly sweet. At the same time, one is enough for me at once.

On tap in a pint glass.

A- Clear, clean sunshine yellow color. 1-fimger pure white head that fades and leaves streaky lacing. Lots of bubbles.

S- Mild blueberry aroma. Pleasantly not sweet. Some light wheat.

T- Blueberry, some grain and light malt. Not as sweet as I expected.

M-It's light and well carbonated. Sweet, not a hop in sight.

O- It was refreshing and flavorful. One was enough.

This is a pretty decent blueberry beer. It's got an average color and flavor, but the aroma is very distinctive and pleasant. It definitely ranks up there in the fruit-flavored beer category, but take note that it's not necessarily my favorite style of beer.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled 11/8/2011. Pours slightly cloudy golden straw color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense white head with nice retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of blueberry, blueberry skin, light bread, floral, and light herbal. Nice and pleasant aromas with good strength of authentic blueberry notes as expected. Taste of blueberry, blueberry skin, cracker, bready grain, floral, and herbal. Lingering notes of blueberry, blueberry skin, bread, cracker, floral, and herbal on the finish for a short bit. Good flavor balance with a nice amount of blueberry flavor; and zero cloying flavors present after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth and lightly syrupy mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with almost zero warming noticed after the finish as expected of 4.6%. Overall this is a nice blueberry fruit ale. Nice amount of blueberry flavor with good balance; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable fruit beer offering.

On tap at Kickbacks in Jax. Poured into a snifter. White head, low retention, clear lacing on a clear, straw body. Aroma is a musty blueberry, in a candy-like kinda way. Taste has some malt sweetness and again, sweet blueberry, the kind of tase you would get from a blueberry flavored cereal. Not terrible and I'm sure quite drinkable for most drinkers.
