This beer poured a golden color with a 1 finger high white head. The initial smell of the beer was that of blueberries and not much else. Now when I say blueberries, I mean they absolutely nailed the smell of blueberries. The initial taste of the beer was a weak blueberry flavor, accompanied by the grainy flavor of a lager beer. The brew has a light to medium body with a low to medium amount of carbonation.

In conclusion, this beer smelt awesome, however the taste was not even close to being as awesome. I'm not a fan of lager beers and this unfortunately reminded me of a European trend, where you add a syrup to the beer in order to give it more flavor. I give Blue Point credit for the smell, but that's about it.

Am I wrong to say this tastes like a Magic Hat #9 with blueberries instead of apricots?

Smells nice, mild fruit flavor. Undetectable hops, almost tastes like a lager with blueberry scent.

Looks golden yellow, white soapy looking head with no lacing. Dissipates quickly leaving no evidence that there was even a head.

Easy to drink, like a lager with fruit. Kind of like Sam Adams Blackberry Witbier mixed withy Magic Hat.

Overall, UNREMARKABLE! I like writing reviews because I get to sound pretentious, muahahaha!

I read this was one of the fruit flavored beers that was a true beer and not one of those ones that were overflavored.

The smell, well, it was like blueberry. Pretty potent.

I was little underwhelmed with the flavor. Was not complex at all. Very blueberryish.

Not too bitter, nice body. Better than most fruit beers, but I am still searching for the best fruit beer.

a- nice gold amber color with nice carbonation, about 1-1.5 fingers of white head and good lacing

s-smells of blueberry's and wheat similar to a blueberry muffin

t-nice taste of fresh blueberry upfront and a clean smooth wheat aftertaste with the perfect amount of hops bite

m- good clean feel that is so smooth and refreshing

d- great drinkability, good flavors combination and aromas and a clean smooth taste make this a great beer to drink and enjoy at anytime

Received as a share of a Blue Point mix pack. No brewed on/best by date to be found. The smell of blueberry is almost overpowering immediately after removing the cap. Once in the glass, however, it has a very pleasing, crisp, light odor. No head, minimal lacing. Very little carbonation. Surprisingly, the blueberry comes in most strongly during the finish. Not too sweet of a brew, either. While probably not a session beer, I could see enjoying two in a sitting without too much trouble.

Has a slight chill haze but otherwise a pale amber color with two fingers of white head that had decent retention. Very little lacing is left on the glass. The blueberries were sensed immediately during the pour. Has a blueberry pancake aroma. The flavor is not as enticing. The flavor is one dimensional and the blueberries are not that great tasting. Overly sweet with nothing to balance the berry flavor. Light body and well carbonated. No mistake on which type of beer drinker this is beer is for. For me drinkability is not that great. I would like a little more out of my beer than sweet blueberries.

A: This poured a clear pale golden-yellow color with a medium head that hung around for just awhile before it left a thin sud layer at the top and a sparse lacing.

S: There is an obvious natural but conservative blueberry scent that prevails over anything else (particularly the lightest hop content) soon detected in the taste.

T/M: What impresses me most with this brew is that it gives the natural taste of blueberry without the sweet syrup-like flavoring that might attempt to forge a real fruit character. There is nothing amazing or complex to this brew's taste beyond the very impressive accomplishment of a good natural blueberry transition.

D: Light and smooth...

A: It poured clear golden yellow with a thin, white head. A light level of carbonation is visible.
S: There's strong aroma of sweet blueberries in the nose--the kind of smell you would expect from a blueberry pie. It's rather inviting and encourages you to take a sip.
T: Unlike the smell, the taste is more balanced between blueberry flavors and sweet malts. It's hard to find any evidence of hoppy bitterness in the taste; the overall taste isn't that complex.
M: It feels rather light bodied on the palate and a bit thin given the low amount of carbonation.
D: This beer is very easy to drink and goes down smoothly, however I wouldn't drink more than one of these in a single sitting because of the lack of complexity in the taste.

A - Golden amber with an inch or two of head. No debris. Whats to hate?
S - Holly smell! At first I thought it was artificial but it smells of fresh picked blueberries on a blanket of wheat.
T - Not as wow as I thought but still good. Pretty much a wheat beer with a smooth flavor of blueberry. If you wanted to give this a low rating why did you buy it? As expected.
M - Thin but satisfying. Flavor with every sip.
D - Yeah I would buy it again. The fruit beer is represented well in this beer. Not too candy or artificial it is perfectly balanced and represents the style well.

S: 12 oz bottle poured into a Blanche de Chambly glass

A: Clear, brilliant, and orange-yellow gold. Very slow carbonation, a bubble or two rises slowly to the top. The head is thin.

S: Wow, not complex, but, powerful. Blueberries waft from the glass. In fact, when first poured my girlfriend smelled it sitting far away from the glass.

T: Clear and crisp, it has a bit of malt, nice hop, without to much bitter, and in the finish fresh blueberry.

M: Not heavy, crisp rather than creamy.

D: Light, low in alcohol, with a fresh crisp refreshing taste.

Overall: I'm not sure what to think of beer made with fruit, but, this is one of the better ones. It has a slight fresh blueberry taste that comes in the finish and matches the slight crisp bitter from the hops. The smell is impressive and the taste isn't too sweet because the hops do help to bitter it out a bit. It is a nice spring seasonal.

A new edition to the lineup of brews available in NH.
Pours a deep golden amber with a one finger creamy white head. I was expecting a blueish hue, then I read the label and saw golden ale with natural flavors.
The aroma of blueberries and sugar is overwhelming me as soon as I start pouring. It has filled my nostrils and I haven't even gotten them close to the glass yet. Closer inspection reveals blueberry. Reminds me of the blueberry Eggo waffles my dad used to eat most mornings when I was growing up ahhh memories. I really can't find much else in the aroma.
Taste is a little more beery but really sweet and blueberry like. Up front you get a bit of bready malt and maybe a little honey followed by some of that blue fruit there what is it again? Sweet and sticky in the mouth, medium body and carb level.
Not a bad beer, but I couldn't drink many of these. Its a bit bit sweet and quite one dimensional. Meh!

Pours yellowy golden in color with thin, white head which dissipates quickly to a slight haze on the surface. Lots of streaming carbonation and a haze of small particles suspended in the beer.

Smells of bready malt mostly, a bit of light blueberry aroma but it is a bit underwhelming. Tastes bready and malty up front as well, which moves a decent but not intense bitterness. Finishes with a good blueberry flavor and leaves a nice fruity aftertaste.

Light body, crisp feel, but a bit on the watery side. This beer is easy drinking and the low ABV is kind of nice too.

A- Clear, golden body with a thin white head.

S- Nice blend of blueberry and sweet/bready malts.

T- A thin taste of malt followed by the blueberry flavor that I kinda expected upfront. Not much else going on.

M- Kind tin/watery feel with a moderate carbonation.

D- Not a bad fruit beer, but not something I'd order again.

Looks like a decent pale ale, orangish/amber with a slight haze to it. Nice 2 finger head on this pour. The aroma is massive amounts of blueberry, but it smells fake, maybe its just too strong or something. The taste is blueberry on steroids, its way overkill for me which makes it seem kind of fake. Some hops are there. Its almost like someone took a good pale ale and poured in some sort of blueberry extract. I can see some people out there liking this but its just too much fruitiness for me. I don't mind a fruit beer when it just adds an element to the beer but this seems to out play everything else that this beer could have going on. I'd like to see it tamed a bit. I'm trying to score based on the style, which I admit is not my favorite style beer, but I can say I've had slightly better blueberry beers.

12 oz bottle poured into pint glass

A: Amber in color with 2 fingers worth of head that disappears quickly with little to no lacing.

S: Simple sweet blueberries and malt. Who could go wrong with that.

T: Oddly the sweet malts hits first and then is followed by a even sweeter blueberries. Not much more here.

M: Pretty light and crisp but watery, carbonation is pretty mild for the style.

D: OK with a low ABV, you could drink a lot of these, it is light and refreshing but there is not a lot here. Not a bad Blueberry beer.

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed that beer. I usually don't like fruit beers but this one had a perfect balance of the fruit (a little in the aroma and a little in the flavor) without any sweetness and without beating you over the head with the flavor.

Good golden color (not sure why I expected bluish), great carbonation, excellent arome (see above) and a very drinkable beer even for those who don't like fruit beers, like me.

A very nice fruit beer. Carbonation and bready/biscuity flavor keeps it from becoming syrupy. The finish is like drinking those blueberry mini muffins that come in little packages. I couldn't drink more than one of these in a session (too sweet), but I was fairly impressed nonetheless.

Pours a clear gold body with a one finger head and a little lace. A decent blueberry aroma along with some faint biscuity, bready malts. Smooth, creamy, lighter bodied with a large blueberry base for the taste with some minor hop bitternerss and malts for balance and to even the finish. Nothing spectacular but a good blueberry taste and this is an easy beer to sit back and relax with if you like fruit beers.

One of my all time favorive beers! Ale is light and fresh, and crisp and has no bitterness that I normally associate with ales. Not as sweet as I thought it would be but it is a ale after all. The aroma is mostly of fresh berries. Not much blueberry taste in the initial, but possesses a strong blueberry aftertaste. A must try for fans of fruit flavored beer!

Appearance: Pours well, has a nice golden color.

Smell: Nice natural blueberry aroma

Taste: Good blueberry aftertaste. The pack says "Fresh" and I realize that its not always going to come through in bottled beer. It was good for what it was, and I would consider purchasing it on tap.

Poured golden, with decent carbonation, and a very pronounced white head. The smell fits the style...overpoweringly blueberry. However, while the taste starts off with a full round blueberry flavor, the finish is abrupt, dry, and imbalanced, with a lingering unpleasant aftertaste. The mouthfeel is expectedly thin with average carbonation. The finish in this beer kills it for me.

12 oz bottle into a pint glass.

Pours a clear gold, with 1 1/2 fingers of eggshell-white foamy head. Retains with a soft creamy layer, that leaves a decent amount of fizzy lacing down the sides of the glass. Wow, no shortage of blueberries in the aroma. It has a dense sweetness to it, that while not exactly feeling artificial or anything, still seems to hang just a bit heavy in the nostrils. Some light floral hops try and help cut this some, but this is still pretty fruity and thick in the nose.

The taste is sweet and lightly toasted pale malt grains, with the blueberries being much more restrained and balanced than what was in the nose. Very pleasant, adding a gentle fruitiness to the proceedings. Some light prickly hops run through this, drying the backend out. The mouthfeel is lighter bodied, with a softer and bubbly feel to the carbonation up front. This then gives way to a much crisper carbonation in the back, giving this some extra presence in the mouth.

Not bad at all. Despite the aroma coming off as a bit too heavyshanded, this ended up being a fairly tasty and refreshing Blueberry Ale.

I actually enjoy a good fruit beer every once in awhile. I have fond memories of my first Pyramid Apricot Ale back when I worked in Berkeley.

A- Moderate pour from a botle into Stone 11th anni pint glass. A bright & clear brassy gold color. Good 1 inch white silky foamy head, recedes without any lacing. Leaves a thin cap. Plenty of random streamers throughout.

S- This smells just like rel blueberries to me. Slight hint of biscuit. Not complex, but as advertised.

T- Once again, straight blueberry upfront, maybe not as strong as the nose though. A little more caramel biscuit, but not much more than the nose. No hops, or etoh here.

M- It almost feels creamy ast first, then the crisp carbonation takes over. Light bodied. I don't get any fruit juice resin, or aftertaste.

D- While I am not going to drink this beer, or fruit beers in general, all the time- as far as fruit beers go this one is awesome. So easy to drink, refreshing. Definetly a summer (or end of summer)treat. I'm not including sours or the like in this statement- but I would rate this as one of my favorite fruit beers. I do really like blueberries too, so I may be biased.

Pours a dark orangish yellow with a tall white head that fades quickly. The smell is strong and inviting, the smell of blueberries immediately fills the room when you start pouring. Some other sweet and tart smells are present. The taste starts somewhat sweet with the blueberries fresh on the tongue. The blueberry stays strong throughout with some slight malt flavor coming through. The aftertaste stays with the theme, yet is more subtle and subdued. The mouthfeel is medium light with a nice smooth feel and nice carbonation. The beer is one sided, but done well, so the beer doesn't get annoying. This one is an easy drinker, not the best session beer, I wouldn't want more than a few, but definitely an enjoyable fruit beer.

Tried this as part of the mixed 12 pack from FreshDirect.

Great smell of bluberries and nice amber coloring. Taste was a bit flat for me. However, this is definitely an easy-drinking beer that youcoudl throw back a few of and feel A-OK. Not my cup of tea though.
