12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass.
Pours a mostly yellow color with shades of orange and a half finger of foam which flitters away instantly. Aroma is certainly hoppy, grapefruit and grassy. Some sweetness comes through as well.
First sip... interesting. maltier than expected. Bitterness is relatively low for an IPA, but it does have a nice nutty taste. Some buttery flavors as well - is this a flaw or intended? It smooths out pretty well, but the hop flavor I detected in the nose really doesn't come through in the flavor. If this wasn't listed as an IPA, it would get much higher marks. As stands, it is just a little too nutty/buttery to really be a good IPA.
