A- Copper colored. Not that dark for an ipa. Very clear, a bare bit of head resting on the top (also not that impressive for an ipa).

S - Not incredibly hoppy.

T - Def. get some malt presence, but the hops are pretty nice. not too vibrant, but there and done well.

M - Medium to light. Once again, not that thick for an IPA.

D - This one is super quaffable and with its nice hop presence, I would probably get it again.

Not terribly impressive, but well done. With no freshness date, I can't be sure I don't just have an old sixer where the hops have faded.

Presentation: It was poured into pint glass from a brown 12oz bottle. There was no freshness date on the bottle.

Appearance: It had a deep golden color with good clarity and a nice average size head on top. The head had a nice creamy off white color and good retention. This made for some cool lacing as the slow fading cap made its way down the glass.

Smell: There was a wonderful bright fruity hop character with solid notes of citrusy grapefruit rind with some leafy/spicy hops over milder sweet malt.

Taste/Palate: Its firm medium body has solid hop bitterness and hop flavor notes mildly balanced buy sweet almost fruity maltiness. Mostly I get citrusy grapefruit like hops with a hint of apricot and pine as well as light white bready sweetness. Towards the finish there is a bit of raw grain from the malt with still brings some sweetness but hop bitterness holds on the tongue deeper into the slow lingering finish. Its carbonation keeps the texture lively but still smooth and pleasing.

Notes: Overall I really enjoyed this beer. Its cool bright label art matches its bright tasty flavor.

Served: on tap from New England Brewfest.

A: Dark Amber - Orange with small white head.

S: Hops, hops, and more hops. Reminds me of Dogfish or Smuttynose.

T: Very bitter hops. Dry malts.

M: Very bitter and dry

D: It was a decent hoppy IPA, but would rather have a Smuttynose out of the two.

This is a good beer that you are sure to enjoy. It is brewed in the Long Island, NY area. There are definitely hops, but it isn't overbearing at all. It has a nice appearance and smell with a good mouthfeel. I recommend this beer for anyone who enjoys IPA's.

Enjoy - T

The piney to trace grapefruit in the hop character helps this beer scream American. What is a nice surprise is the robust mouthfeel. The punch, albeit reserved, seemed to resonate through the inside of my cheeks. A perfectly enjoyable beer, i'd have love to have it along side jerk chicken, but alas all i have is this leftover pizza with which to pair it.

A bubbly, active brew that is orange in color. Nice and clear with a tall, sticky head. Hops, citrus, some florals, and more hops on the nose. Expect sharp, bitter hops for the taste. Floral. Very hoppy. I really enjoyed the flavor. A smooth mouthfeel. Hops and bitterness is there but not overpowering. They linger nicely. This beer seems highly drinkable in my opinion for an IPA. While it wouldn't be the first on my list for a tasting or beer festival, I would gladly sit down and drink several of these a very much enjoy myself (and get a nice buzz at 7%). Like a read in an earlier post, this would be a solid tailgating brew.

Amber color with a small white head. Average retention with only small dots of lace.

Flavor and aroma have a good malt base, with plenty of quality hop presence. Hops have a definite grapefruit peel character with a moderate bitterness.

Smooth, even carbonation. Medium body.

Drinkable and fairly tasty.

I thought this beer was just ok. It has a nice amber color but lacks head. The smell is quite nice with a malty touch and plenty of floral hops. The taste however leaves a little to be desired. I was under the illusion that an IPA was supposed to taste hoppy and felt this lacked also in flavor. Easy to drink and almost 7% alchol puts this on the list of tailgating brew.

I enjoyed this beer at a new beer bar in town that had their soft opening last night. I had never heard of this one before neither of the brewery and decided to give it a try.

A - While it was dark on the front patio, it was clearly a amber color. 1/2" head that lasted rather long.

S - Typical IPA small, some hop presence for sure!

T - Malty but not too malty, hop presence, smooth, a bit roasty/caramel like and dry.

M - The mouthfeel is definately dry on this one.

D - Very smooth beer I will definately have another one or two in the future in case it remains on tap. It didn't appear to me that it has almost 7% alc.

Pours a slightly hazy copper with a small white head, decent retention, and little lacing down the glass.

S - Fruity malts up front with some dates, and floral hops in the background.

T - Malts in the front again, with more notes of dates and prunes. Floral hops don't come in until the aftertaste.

M - Medium body, medium to low carbonation. Good creamy, smooth consistency, but no real hop bitterness I expect in an IPA.

D - I won't be having this one again. When I get an IPA, I like it to have a hop presence. This one definitely didn't have it.

Poured this a light yellow amber with a middling white head with some retention and decent lacing. Smell Was quite good, some sweet malt, then fruity hops. Taste wasn't there though, only slight malt up front, some sweet and citrus notes then bitter dry hop finish. Good but not spectacular. Good entry grade IPA.

Another beauty on tap at My Place in Newtown, CT. This one shows a crystal clear yellow amber color with a solid white fuzzy head and good lacing. The aroma is a pleasant bready citrus hop, slightly floral, very pleasant. The flavor offers a very fruity yet earthy blend of citrus hops and oak bread. It's medium plus bodied and has a viscous feel that coats the throat with sharp hops and intense rice/oats cereal. I also get a touch of soapy water but it isn't too bad. Generally it's nice stuff with healthy carbonation and plenty drinkable.

Received in a trade from orcasteve. Poured into 10oz glass. Poured a clear golden amber color with less than a half-inch of off-white head that dissipated quickly and left minimal lacing.

The aroma was a sharp pop of floral hop notes, with an interesting underlying sweetness. a bit of pine hops were on the back. The taste didn't quite hold up to the standard set by the aroma. The various hop flavors and that sweetness were there, but in a very subdued form. The beer did have a bit of a malt foundation though, which I appreciated.

The body was typical for the style. Drinkability was OK, I'd have a couple if this were local to me. Overall, an average IPA that's worth a shot if you see it.

12 oz bottle poured into pint glass

A: Clear, kind of pale orange amber, 1 finger head is off white, a little thin looking, starts sticking quickly

S: Kind of fruity and floral hops, not super pungent, hints of background malt

T: Very hoppy, but not a lot of flavor, harsh, it doesn't allow you to really taste anything else, hints of that floral hop though

M: Feels like it would be dry, but really isn't, medium body

D: Ok, but too harsh for me

Notes: The aroma wasn't anything special, but at least it wasn't harsh like the taste. It is just lacking in flavor for the amount of hops it brings.

Poured a beautiful orange-amber, with a moderate head and decent retention. Smell is a nice balance of citrus and piney hops, with spicy notes of pepper and allspice. Taste is bright, with some maltiness up front, and a long, bitter finish. Primarily citrusy hops, but not the overpowering grapefruit taste you get with some American IPAs; this is a balance of citrus with pine and vegetal notes. The bitter finish is balanced by a bit of sweetness. A delicious beer, one I will drink a few more times!

Poured a clear bronze color with a small head in my Sam Adams Ale glass. Smell was a mix between some hops, and some bready malt. Taste to me was that of a Pale Ale, hop flavor was very balanced with malts, not pronounced for an IPA. Tasty, just not for this style. When I get an IPA, I want hops! Mouthfeel was good, clean and somewhat refreshing to drink (if APA is your thing). Drinkability was good. Goes down easy.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a SA perfect pint:

Appearance: Pours a light amber color with a big fluffy white head. Nice lacing down the glass.

Smell: Smells a bit vegital but overall not bad. a bit of onion or garlic, maybe some dark malty aromas as well and a hint of citrus.

Taste: Taste has a nice citrus punch, a little underwhelming though. Not bad. Malty balance leads to a off balanced finish.

Mouthfeel: good carbonation, maybe a bit overcarbonated but overall good. Dry aftertaste.

Drinkability: Overall i would have this again, but i wouldnt go running out to find it. Its a good IPA to go with a steak because of the onion/garlic hop profile. Reccommended but not your typical IPA.

slightly hazy grayish copper color with a huge off-white head that stays in clumps and grabs the glass. tons of bubbles come from the laser etching of my sam adams perfect pint glass. nice.

smells like an east coast ipa. plenty of grapefruit, citrus and herbal/floral hops (a touch piney) with a good amount of malt in the background.

grapefruit bitterness comes first, with plenty of the citric acidity found in fresh-squeezed orange juice. a bit too resiny. some toasty malt stays in the background. more tart and acidic than pleasantly bitter.

fills the mouth well. stays fluffy throughout with a medium mouthfeel that suits the style well.

nothing special here. cool name, cool bottle, nice looking pour. then it goes downhill to offer nothing to make me want to visit this again.

Had this in an IPA taste testing! It came in 3rd (most hoppy)

A - Golden dark hazy amber.
S - Well grapefruit and citrus hops.
T - Mostly overwhelmed by hops but too much malt to bring too much bitterness!
M - Sort of smooth but thin
D - Well It was an experimental but was a decent IPA

I had this on Easter at Elephant & Castle in New Cumberland -served chilled in a shaker pint.

I don't know if this beer has improved or the keg was fresher than the bottle, but I really enjoyed this. I might have to pick up a case

A - A golden color with amber highlights and clinging lace from a small white head w/ tiny bead

S - The smell first strikes me as piney in hop aroma, but as I begin to consume this it comes of more citrus with a grapefruity aspect and more of a fruity ester possibly just the IPA opening up closer to actual tasting temp since the beer was served cold

M - the feel is moderately carbonated and has med body w/ moderate bitterness -not overly bitter with a bit of malt to balance and finishes semi-dry w/ light sweetness

T - The taste is pleasing with a nice hop flavor up front with some pine and hints of orange rind w/ a mild grapefruit accent and mild toasted malt taste - a nice blend of citrus and gentle malt nuance

D - I finished this one easily and if I wasn't full from the large buffet meal I would have certainly ordered another. As I said before where I liked this IPA before something very satisfying about this particular pint spoke to me -I recommend having this on tap

Poured into a Sam Adams perfect pint glass.

A: Pours a full three fingers head with carbonation still reaming up from the laser ring. Golden yellow color with orange hues. Spotted lacing on the glass.

S: Floral and earthy hops. Grapefruit too. Some malts here but this almost smells like a pale ale.

T: Kind of muddled bitterness. Cascade hops maybe with the grapefruit hints. Could definitely use a bigger hop bite.

M: Moderate to high carbonation. Small amount of bitterness sticks to the tongue.

D: Easy drinker but nothing outstanding. Cool name for a beer though.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a nonic pint glass.

Appearance is a clear amber with a one finger off white head that dissipates slowly.

Smell contains they typical grapefruit aroma I've found in many from this style and a hint of malt.

Taste is similar to the nose with a sweet grapefruit flavor and a mild bitterness. it has a nice malt backbone but the hops are not particularly strong.

Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with a good amount of carbonation and a crisp finish.

Drinkability is good. It goes down nice and easy and has a mild flavor for the style to me. Probably a good beer to introduce someone new to the style. Its pretty good and I'd have a few at a time.

Thanks to DmanGTR for this one!

A: Amber, with tan colored head.. It dissipates fairly quickly.

S: Grapefruit, a little bit of grass but not a lot. Sweet with a little bit of malt.

T: Nice bit of bitterness, citrus, with grapefruit dominating. The hops meld well with the malt, very nicely balanced.

M: Medium bodied, with good carbonation, and an almost oily texture at the end, which I assume is from the hops.. Very nice.

D: Very nice. Well balanced, while showing the hops off. Something I would drink again without a doubt. Well put together.

A: Tangerine color to it. About an inch head on top. Good head retention. This beer looks very lively with tons of bubbles rising to the top of the glass. This beer really has a great appearance.

S: Malty with a hint of citrus.

T: Starts out a tiny bit sweet and ends bitter with a grapefruity taste to it.

M: A little on thin side. I think it could be more creamy feeling on the pallate

D: I could drink a few of these beers before growing tired of the taste. Overall this is a decent IPA. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is a fan of IPA's
