Blue Point Toasted Lager pours a stunning, clear, orange-copper color with no head or lace. The aroma is mainly orange and dough followed by well balanced flavors of citrus, bread, and caramel. The hops and malt work well together. It's got a light-medium mouthfeel and is very drinkable. Blue Point Toasted Lager is good beer, very refreshing and pairs well with chicken and mashed potatoes. Recommended!

Pours crystal clear amber color with a nice thick foamy 2 finger off white head that was full of bubbles and faded very slowly, leaving OK lacing and a foamy layer on top.

Smells of malt, caramel, lightly roasted grains, light floral hops and sweet bready notes; malt dominant with soft sweetness, this is a pretty basic nose.

Taste has more hop presence, with dry floral hops and some lemon zest in the mix that combines with the same lineup as the nose: malt, caramel, lightly roasted grains, biscuit, sweet bready notes like cinnamon raisin bread, and some toffee. The finish has a little hop nip, but trails off grainy and sweet like a graham cracker. It’s an amped up lager for sure and well above the macro standard, even after the Blue Point acquisition by InBev/AB.

Mouthfeel is smooth with light carbonation, a medium feel and a grainy and sweet aftertaste.

Overall an above average beer that is a nice option in the lager world, especially since it’s made locally to me and always fresh.
