Appearance: Pours a copper/amber color with a slight red hue. A lumpy cream-white head sits on top and takes a minute to dissipate. Not a lot of lacing.
Smell: Breaded malts with a slightly toasted scent to them. Hops linger, but don't really stand out. Nothing outstanding, but nothing disappointing either.
Appearance: Toasty malts overwhelm the palate and is quickly cooled off by the crispness of the brew. A refreshing lager perfect for onion rings and a burger. A simple overdone style (due to macros) that Blue Point has put an interesting twist on.
Mouthfeel: A crisp medium body that doesn't have an overwhelming aftertaste.
Drinkability: Are you kidding me? This stuff is great! On my list of "six packs to buy whenever" list. Blue Point has yet to let me down!

Pint on tap at John Henry's in Long Beach, N.Y.
Appearance: It's an amber/copper color with heavy carbonation and a half-inch white head that recedes swiftly.
Aroma: Bready malts are up front, with some piny hops and caramel malts. Also, unsurprisingly, there's a note of buttery toast. Some grassiness, too.
Taste: Tasty. Really a perfect all-seasons lager. Smooth, crisp and refreshing, with enough complexity to keep you interested. Hop bitterness and alcohol are muted, while malts are very forward. Pretty much a perfect American lager. I had this alongside a terrific veggie burger, fries and a pickle and practically felt like singing God Bless America; tied the whole thing together in star-spangled glory.
Mouthfeel: The amount of body is spot-on. Some density, but far from heavy.
Overall: Excellent. A lager for folks who usually get bored by lagers. Also a lager for people who love lagers. There's everything to like about this, and no discernible flaws. Let's see what happens after the Anheuser-Busch acquisition.
Serving type: on-tap
