An IPA for none IPA drinkers. It's a beer with IPA notes that build and vanish into smoothness.
Taste Rating in Words: It's like the "life of the party friend" that sneaks into the party and leave before you have a chance to greet them.

L: slightly-hazy, and golden blonde. Thin white head and no lacing.
S: Very hop-forward, but sweet and caramel smelling in the background. Mild overall, smells more hoppy then it is.
T: Some-what plain and malt-centered. Strong bitterness at the end, but nothing that highlights the flavors of the hops.
F: Thin and bubbly. Mild-moderate body,
O: Not my favorite, but not horrible. Bitter-sweet, but more on the bitter side--but does not highlight the hop flavor as much as it could. Kind of a middle-of-the-line APA. Not bad, but not great either.

Tasted for this review in early 2016 from 22 oz bottle. The review also takes into account regular sampling of brewery-filled growlers.
This ale reminds me of the classic US Ales that survived into the 70's. I'm thinking about Ballantine Ale (the Falstaff 70's version was OK), McSorleys ( excellent as brewed by Ortlieb), and Yuengling Lord Chesterfield (I think it was better then, and only 1.39 a sixpack). BP Pale Ale is just a shade darker than a lager and has a balanced moderate hoppy flavor with a reasonable alcohol content. This is the beer I drink most often. I try to pick up a growler at the brewery. I like the taste from the growler, initial pour down to the flat last glass.

Pours copper with some golden highlights, mild white foam head, hazy. Aroma is hoppy and malty, very well balanced. Taste is right for the style, malty and hoppy, balanced and friendly. Medium body with medium carbonation. Excellent APA.

L drank from the bottle.
S smelled better than it tasted, some vanilla hints
T in your face bitter aftertaste
F plenty of carbonation, not bad at first
O if I didn't know I'd guess it were a below average IPA. Won't seek this out.

Maybe I got a bad one, but this beer tastes the way cleaning products smell. It's more like an IPA than a pale ale, with way too much hop bitterness without any redeeming flavor. It just hits with a nasty, chemical bitterness. I ended up pouring the rest of it down the drain.

Disappointed, bland and earthy, perhaps a bad batch

A: crystal clear; copper colored; < 1 finger ivory head that receded quickly to a thin collar; very little lacing;
S: a little skunky; earthy; citrusy;
T: a metallic grapefruit flavor all the way through with some caramel in the background; moderate bitterness on the finish;
M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;
O: this was a fresh keg poured through clean lines, so I'm not sure why there was a skunky aroma; the metallic character in the flavor was also a minus for me;
