Growler from local beer store poured into a tulip glass. Served chilled but not cold.
A- Black with thin cream colored head which dissipates quickly and leaves an espresso type crema.
S- Vanilla and chocolate with faint roasted coffee notes.
T- My favorite feature of this beer. Dark chocolate, roasted coffee, malt and a little smokiness.
M- A little thin and watery for a stout but goes down smooth. Light carbonation felt in bubbles on front of palate. Leaves a pleasant toasted malt aftertaste on back of palate.
Overall I like this beer a lot, somewhat reminiscent of a coffee or a chocolate stout.
Serving type: growler

Undated 22 oz bottle served in a snifter.
This Oatmeal Stout pours very dark mahogany but is clear and the bottle lacks sediment. The small tan head is short-lived and lives scant lacing.
Hints of dried fruits, bourbon(!) and faint coffee add to the flavor which is, as expected, dominated by roasted grains. The oatmeal is evident in the aroma, flavor and soft feel. No burnt grain.
Feel: Well chosen low carbonation. Medium-full bodied. Nicely smooth.
