On cask at the brewery tasting room. Poured an intensely deep black color with an incredible tan head. Phenomenal retention and lacing! Aromas of alcoholic cherries, some roasted malt. Huge flavors of chocolate covered cherries, coffee, charcoal, and roasted malt. Cherry flavor is much more pronounced in the cask than on regular tap. Super smooth, ceamy and full mouthfeel. Amazing drinkability considering the whopping ABV. An outstanding brew from Blue Point, cheers!

Sour cherry Imperial Stout on draft at the brewery on 1/27/23. Served cold. Good flavor with minimal cherry taste. Not a huge fan of imperial stouts, but this one hides the alcohol well, and delivers a nice roasty flavor.

Poured from the bottle.
Don't be confused by the name: It's a stout with "sour cherries", not a "sour stout".
The cherries are a nice addition, bright and tart without getting to be too sweet. It goes well with the roasted malt, chocolate and dark aged fruits.

From the bottle, it pours a very dark brown with a hint of light brown showing at the edges. Head is briefly there and islands thereafter. Cherry and roasted malt in the nose. The mouth gets a touch of cherry along with the roast malt. enjoyable!
