LOOK: Deep golden colored brew. Clarity is very nice. Fizzy head forms and has decent retention. No real lace to speak of.

SMELL: Mildly bready malts, flour, hop flower.

TASTE: Pale malt sweetness, a hint of wheat, and definitely some lemony citrus. Rather light but has a small peppery spice to it as well. Possibly some adjuncts, hop bitterness is light and pellet like.

FEEL: Light to medium bodied, aggressive carbonation.

OVERALL: Pretty crisp little summer ale here. No frills, no thrills, but a decent light option for outdoor activities in the summer.

Appearance: Light goldencolor with small receding head. After a moment, no head left. Very little carbonation detected.

Aroma: Malty with slight hop profile in the background. Fresh toasty sort of aroma...

Taste: Mostly malt dominates the flavor with slight hints of hops. Lemony hints apparent.

Mouthfeel: Light bodied & fresh. Clean on the palette. Effervescent...

Drinkability: Easy drinking. Smooth & clean. Very refreshing for a summer evening so it lives up to its name...

Comments: Nice summer ale from Blue Point. I drank a fresh bottle & was enjoyable. I would buy this again when in the NY area.

A rather pale color with a little life to it, but not much. Small thin head that sticks around.

Alcohol & grain in the nose. Kind of the same "yard clippings" scent that a lot of macros have.

The only other Blue Point product I've had is the Toasted lager, which didnt taste very "toasted" at all. This one has the same amount of toasty flavor as that. Very little, but its there in the finish. Strange.

All in all, this beer is a lot like a macro, really. It tastes like a micro brewery's attempt to clone a BMC product. It's just not as harsh. A bit smoother in the mouth and finish.

I dont see any reason to purchase or drink this beer, other than curiosity, or getting it for very cheap (both of the reasons I bought & drank it).

Twelve ounce bottle pours a clear light golden body with a two finger offwhite head. Retention is average and there are some curtains of patchy lace on the glass. Aroma has hints of twangy wheat malt and lemon zest but mostly biscuity scents. Just a faint note of grassy hops. Light body is nicely carbonated. Taste has a subdued sweetness that goes well with the biscuity pale maltiness. Lemon zest, a faint note of grassy hop bitterness and an aspirin note comprise most of the flavor profile. Finishes clean and crisp. Not bad, but far from my favorite for a summer ale.

12 ounce bottle, pours light and clear, suprise, bready nose, with maybe ahint of hoppyness. White head, decent retention and minimal lacing left behind. My favorite aspect of this light, summery quencher/quafer is the mouthfeel. it was soft, rounded and very smooth, not what I would expect from an everyday summer type brew. All together, decent stuff. Cant go too wrong here as long as its fresh and cold.

poured into a pint glass from a 12oz long neck brown bottle with a crimped-on cap. Best by Nov 07.

Clean aroma, light carmell, toasty, nutty, good malty nose. slightly fruity with a delicate citrus aroma.

Very good malty taste.on the light side, carmalized, toasty with a slight metallic/burnt taste. Nice crisp citrusy finishes out the beer very nicely.

Light mouthfeel with a pleasing, tangy, juicyness. Refreshing summer beer, staying light with enough taste to make you want to keep drinking

Appears a clear golden large white head rocky appearance light ueven specks of lacing with each sip. Aroma light citrus zestiness with a light toasted malt profile really pleasant and clean overall some would say bland but that's not really the case here. Flavors a clean drinking ale with some citrus and pine hop flavors with a clean malt sweetness again a refreshing clean malt profile with enough hop balls to keep most interested I'm really a fan definitely easy drinking. Mouthfeel is light bodied even carbonation even a bit watery but to hell with the texure this beer pulls of light beer with flavor presence. Drinkability is high I could down a few of these without overthinking it I'm a fan of Blue Point beers that I've tried this is no different great stuff for the summer visit to the Long Island brewery.

Brought to me fresh from Long Island-thank you Chad and Jaclyn!
Pours up a darker golden color. Small thin head.
Smells like a fresh summer brew, slightly lager-ish. Very faint citrus aromas and a little hop-nose.
Mouthfeel- I really like this. Starts off like a light ale but the hops come back for the finish. Almost like a pale ale that is weak or a summer brew that got a heavier dose of hops. Thirst quenching and I was pleasantly surprised by the hoppier flavors. The growler claimed this bew has another un-named ingredient aside from the lemon citrus-cardamom maybe?

Notes are from 5/28

Crystal clear and bright, this yellow-gold brew looks pretty much the way I expect a "summer ale" to look. It develops a soft white head with moderation in both retention and lacing, a layer of foam left a few minutes in laying down sturdy spotting and light patching mixed.
Aroma and flavor display a light note of grains and a pale, sweet fruitiness as the main components. There's a biscuit touch as well, and the very light hops addition is mildly grassy and herbal. The flavor follows the aroma except that it fades at the end and only a weird mingling of dryness, herb and overripe banana reaches the finish, and briefly.
It's light-bodied, as it should be, with a softer crispness that, while constant, gives preference to smoothness. A little leaf dries it out, but it never leaves the area between semi-dry and semi-sweet.

Very light pour which I did expect. Not really much to report about the bouquet, color, head, hop, malt, etc....
Just everything was low key and not much of anything.
The Taste was very light but enjoyable.
I have found myself moving more and more into the summer and lighter beers as the climate warms up here in the Northeast.
I still miss my full fall and winter beers.
But for the summer, I can enjoy this one without a problem.
Not over the top, not a top rated one, but good and enjoyable, and at this time of the year, thats pretty good

Thanks to Cuzco for this one!

A: Pours a clear orange color with a half inch head formation which dissipated quickly. Very little lacing to speak of.

S: Not much going on here, a bit of wheat and a slight lemon peel scent. I don't often say it, but macro smelling almost.

T: Nothing really sticks out for me on this one. Its not bad in any way, just doesn't much going for it. A slight floral taste in the middle which fades to a wheat flavor.

M/D: Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, a pass.

One of many purchases for my Memorial day Weekend food&beerathon.

Poures a nice clear gold with a massive rocky white head. The head settled down but the glass was laced for the duration.

Had a clean light grassy aroma.

Taste was lightly grainy but clean with a hint of hops. Smooth quenching finish and light carbonation. Light mouthfeel.

I'm not usually a big buyer/drinker of summer style brews but when I get the urge for one this wouldn't be a bad choice.

12oz bottle

App: true gold with a small head.

Smell: Sweet fruit like blueberries. A light wheat scent. Hints of alcohol hide underneath.

taste: Sweet caramel apple taste that concentrates itself on the tongue. Maybe a hint of honey. Tastes very much like a honey wheat sans wheat. Hardly any hops. I'm not a hop head but I want more in this beer.

Slight bit of body from the wheat. But the bad taste seems to dominate any positive mouthfeel.

Pours a pure gold with no head. Absolutely no smell. It's about now I'm concerned about beer quality...it's late summer and the bar seems to be pushing this beer hard. Taste is light crystal malt, a little wheat, and very mild hop character. Mouthfeel is light, crisp, and refreshing.

Overall this is a rather weak beer. Forgettable all around.

Pale gold with ashort tan head. The aroma gives off hints of creamy diacetyl (in a good way) and mellow bready grains. The flavor is pretty mild, but it has the same salty and astringent aftertaste that I didn't like with the toasted lager. It's almost chaulky in the aftertaste and that pretty much ruins this one for me. This one's headed for the drain.

Pours yellow with a nice little head.

The smell is sweet, like a ncie German pilsner with a bit of honey added. Fresh grain is also present.

Lots of honey is present to start with a light grain further on with a finish of sweet malt and lingering honey.

Thee feel is full-bodied with a nice refreshing quality.

This is a great summer brew and was a very pelasant surprise. I really like the honey aspect of this beer.
