Poured from a 22-oz. bomber into a pint glass, thanks to a buddy from Saratoga, N.Y. Color was dark caramel, a bit like heavy iced tea. Just over a finger of head. Nice film of white lacing on the top that dissipated once I started drinking it. Wet uneven film on the sides.
Smelled of sharp citrus hops. Mainly smelled lemon. Also a rye smell which I’m beginning to notice more (I think). Some light cereal notes as well.
Tasted slightly better than the nose. Got that iced tea taste again, which I seem to get with all rye beers. Still some lemon citrus hops. God this got good as it went down.
Medium body. Slick texture. Average carbonation. Long smooth finish. Consistent throughout and really went down well.
This beer just got better as it went down. I debated on a lot of the ratings, but went with what I put down. May change later, but damn this was good.
