Poured from a bottle into my awesome Dillinger Four "Doublewhiskeycokenoice" glass.
A.) Pours a nice orange-copper color with a pretty thick off-white head that sticks around forever. Pretty hazy with a TON of carbonation. Actually considerably more than I remember the last times I had this beer.
S.) As expected, rye and malt in the nose with some piney hops. More floral than I expected, but spicy as well. All-in-all this is a pretty complex, but totally pleasing, nose.
T.) I love this beer. Nice herbal hops and rye that's present, but not overpowering and too spicy, like some rye's tend to end up. Really well-balanced with a nice bitterness.
M.) Slightly over-carbonated, though it doesn't really detract from the beer's overall character. Could do with a little bit more in the body, but it's not necessarily worth complaining about.
D.) At 7.5%, this is as sessionable as any IPA with comparable abv. It's less hop-dominant and there's a little bit of something sweet left after the finish is gone that warrants another sip. This is a really good beer that I'll gladly drink on tap when it's available or in bottles.
