A serviceable pumpkin ale, but this is mostly pumpkin pie spice and no pumpkin. A little flaccid and tame in body, and needs a bit more oomph in the flavor department as well. It's certainly inoffensive, but it just seems to be lacking a bit. I finished my sixpack, but I won't be stocking up. On to something else.

Pours to a nutty orange color with a white head that leaves a nice lacing on the glass. Looks really appetizing.

Smells very nice. It's got an underlying pumpkin scent with some spices that pinch a little on first sniff.

Tastes good, but a little too bitter on the back end. The spices taste a bit burnt. But overall, it's just the right amount of sweetness up front, and there's a faint hint of pumpkin that's good.

The body is a bit weak. The aftertaste leaves something to be desired too.

This is an above average pumpkin. I enjoyed it and would have it again. Hopefully next year they work out the burnt spice issue.

Poured a dark copper hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.

The smell featured moderate caramel, spice and a bit of rindiness.

The taste consisted of a smooth crystal malt with moderate spice and a residual pumpkin flesh.

The mouthfeel was typical of the style.

Overall a tasty pumpkin ale.

It is that time of year again, and I chase the seasonal pumpkin beer. This one is respectable, but not outstanding. Spicy smell...pie spice, neither some pumpkin scents as well. There is a little malt underneath, but the spice is dominant. The taste is semi-sweet. It has a medium heft, with a lingering pumpkin finish. Some vegetal favors. Solid, but not as intense as I'd prefer.
