This is our first time brewing with fresh or “wet” Pacific Northwest hops (that were overnight delivered from Hopunion LLC), and since they’re only available once a year, this is an extremely limited, one-time-only batch that will not be widely distributed to bars or restaurants.

Pours a clear honey color with a dense white head that left some webby lacing.

The aroma is of a perfumey hop. Floral notes with some citrus and grass. Enjoyable aroma but not very strong.

Nice fresh hop flavor. Floral and buddy with light fresh grass notes. Slight pepper. Slightly bready malt which is clean and let's the hops shine. Good bright hop flavor.

The feel is moderate with semi soft carbonation. Slightly bitter on the palate. Nice balance and drinks well.

A good wet hop pale ale. Nice hop flavor and drinks quite well. I hope Blue Point keeps making this.

Had on tap at Home restaurant in Branford poured into a snifter glass on 11/27. Comes out a clear copper color with a small head that leaves some spotty lacing. Smell is a good balance between bready and sweet malts with some dank and piney hops. Flavor lets off a bit, the hops are about 40% compared to 60% malts. Bready and sweet with some fruit, hops are dank, grassy, hints of citrus. Feels a bit too heavy for the ABV and is a bit undercarbonated for an IPA. Overall a let down considering this should be pretty fresh and wet-hopped. Nothing off-putting just OK.

Lovin' this one. Brilliant clarity, nice head, decent lace. Nose is a fine balance of lightly sweet and bready malt countered by a huge tropical fruit happiness. Taste a is rich malt body balanced by a depth of hops that must be experienced to be appreciated. Chewy breadiness, earthy hops with the tropical flavors from the nose. Feel is medium heavy for a pale ale, gently carbonated with a tingle on the tongue. Great take on a pale ale. The wet hop additions make this a real winner.

A: clear; bronze colored - darker than I expected; 1 finger creamy, ivory head that receded to a thin collar; thick lacing;

S: perfumy; flora; citrus;

T: more floral than anything else; finish is moderately bitter with a little citrus; didn't get much in the way of malt;

M: medium bodied; light carbonation;

O: interesting;
