Unbelievable porter. Smooth, creamy, light, low abv, medium complexity, and extremely easy to drink.

Taste is mild roastiness with some light fruit and berry notes. Excellent complexity for a low abv and drinkable beer. Great finish clean, yet with a subtle chocolate semisweet dryness. Similar drinkablilty to the Entire Butt English porter. Simply amazing.

This is one of the best light porters on the market. Too bad its a limited brewing.

A - Nice mahogany body with cranberry highlights. Bone-white head has ok retention and lace.

S - Great nose. Smooth chestnut, bread crust, honey, roast grain.

T - Caramel, molasses, medium roast coffee, coconut, roast grains, vanilla, coca cola.

M - Medium-light frame. Light carbonation.

O - A shade sweet for the style, but very tasty. More nut brown than porter.

Pours out black.

The nose on this beer is awesome. Roasted malt and chocolate.

The taste is really nice and smooth with great flavor on the chocolate and malted notes. It's a really easy drinking beer and yet full of flavor.

This beers comes off as some sort of gimmick or spoof of the election. Instead it's an excellent example of the porter style. Only cost me six bucks too so I'll be picking up a few more.

22oz bomber to a nonic. I was under the impression that this may be the White House porter recipe, but doesn't say anything of the sort on there, so I believe I was mistaken. Any who.

Pours near black, some brown tinges around some edges. A light brown head adorns, about a finger, with some foamy lacing.

Aroma is of roasty malts, some cocoa powder, and a hint of roasted coffee. Some slight dark fruit notes, dates, ect.

A solid chocolate taste, lots of roasted malts, hint of char, and a bit of coffee...less than the aroma. Still solid.

It's got a medium + body, a subtle carbonation level, and a light creamy texture.

Solid, solid porter.

picked this one up locally the other day. enjoyed from a blue point balloon snifter.

a - brew poured a glistening black with some soft visible carbonation visible racing to the surface. the head was thin and greyish white and fizzled away leaving a thin skin of bubbles on the surface and a ring around the surface of the glass. lacing was spotty.

s - really nice chocolate roast. very great balance and has the perfect amount of char in the mix. the chocolate roast is really spot on. smells fantastic.

t - a bit more char than the nose suggests, but the roasted black malt and chocolate are there as well. some burnt malts.

m - seltzer like with lots of porter char.

o - overall, the smell is the highlight, but this is a fairly good representation of the style and a worthwhile beer to check out. one of the better blue point beers i've had as well, which is a bit of a bummer that this is a one time brew. glad i got to check it out.

Pours a very deep brown color, almost black. The beige head was short and settled into a light ring.

The aroma has some nice earth tones. A weak roast coupled with a wet/decaying wood gives the beer the earthy aroma. Not overly strong but it is an enjoyable scent.

The malt is of a light roast and light coffee. Great woody flavor, with wet bark coming through. Not overly roasty so it comes through as a porter and not a stout. There is some light chocolate and caramel notes. Doesn' t have that sour or tea like flavor that some porters have. Must say this has a spot on porter flavor.

The feel is light with tingly carbonation. A hair thin for a porter. It is sweet but has roasty bitterness. Good balance.

A very enjoyable porter. Nice flavors, earthy. I hope they make this a regular.

Pours opaque black color with a little brown where the light hits the beer and a 1 finger foamy tan head that was full of tiny bubbles, fading average time and leaving good lacing and foam rings as it went down.

Smells of cocoa powder, coffee, chocolate, roasted grains, burnt wood or charcoal, lemon and some herbal notes like floral hops; nice roasted malt nose with cocoa accents.

Tastes like it smells, with cocoa powder, roasted grains, coffee, chocolate and/or chocolate malts, burnt wood or charcoal, lemon zest, caramel, burnt toast, herbs and light floral hops; the roasted malt and charcoal flavor are the strongest, but the hop bite and bitterness come through as does the cocoa and coffee accents which make for a pretty well balanced and tasty porter.

Mouthfeel is light and on the thin side, with mild carbonation, a light body and an almost watery feel that makes it quite easy to drink and sessionable.

A damn good porter that is easy drinking with low ABV and the spirit of democracy freshly bottled right here on Long Island. A very pleasant surprise and a beer that Blue Point should make annually.

22oz bottle served in a standard pint glass.

L - black with a beige head that thinned to a light layer leaving a few spots of lacing on the glass.

S - sweet chocolate and coffee.

T - rich chocolate and robust coffee all the way through.

F - smooth and easy to drink with a slightly thin feel.

O - a tasty beer, good example of the style.
