Appearance: pours a dark brown / almost black color with a short head.
Smell: roasted malts and coffee are easily detected by the nose well outside the glass.
Taste: thin layered roasted malts, big coffee flavors, bit of prunes, and a soft bitterness are pleasant on the tastebuds.
Mouthfeel: lightly crisp to start, smooth and a hint dry at the finish. Aftertaste is long as the flavors cling to the tongue for a bit.
Drinkability: this beer fit the bill after a walk on a cold afternoon in the city. The Columbian coffee used in the porter comes through nicely and creates a nicely drinkable session beer.
