Poured from the growler bottle into a pils style glass.

Classic deep gold and brass colored, crystal clear but a little lifeless. No rising carbonation visible at all if perhaps the most microscopic upon looking close. Thick white fluffy head quite tall, with speckled lacing and a swiss cheese retention. Big head on creation, but settles nicely.

Nose is interesting. Classic bready chewy malts, but there's an interesting faint bubblegum like sweetness to this. Hits the bready malt quality nicely but much of the classic esters seem non existent. Otherwise pretty good.

Interesting palate. Fairly sweet for a Kolsch, with a surprising faint hint of caramel it seems like character. Hints of brown bakery bread toast in the mid palate. Mouthfeel goes from light to a hint of almost brown sugary syrupy caramel.

Overall pretty enjoyably but doesn't really remind me of a Kolsch and the sweetness throws me a bit. It has a very unique flavor though, and would make a very interesting food pairing cause it's so distinct.

200 ml. draft @ Peters Brauhaus. Clear golden with a creamy head, standard look. Smell is a touch grainier than the Sion I tried before but still pretty smooth, sweetish yeast, hay, light white grapes. Taste is also a small touch grainier with sweetish yeast, hay, very faint corn & white grapes, touch sugar & sweet bread, light hops. Faintly grainy body but overall pretty smooth, creamy. Quite enjoyed it, easy to drink, yummy, no unwanted off-flavours, lovely Kölsch.

A: Pale yellow color with lots of medium large bubbles. Tall white, light head leaves decent lacings.

S: Crisp malt, somewhat dry. Bitter and floral hops are suttle, but very obvious; green apples and lots of citric notes. Some yeast.

T: Very nice balance between the malt and the bitter hops. The floral hops brings rich fruityness; citric. Yeast. Crisp. Some buttery notes in the back.

M: Rather long aftertaste; bitter and sour. Body is light and carbonation is mild. Very smooth.

O: A nice and well crafted Kölsch.

The beer comes out looking like a kölsch. Golden clear body, big fluffy white head, and leaves some lacing.

The beer has a prominent fruit aroma of pear and apple to go along with the sweet and grainy qualities.

It is light and refreshing. Hits with a little crisp bite there at the swallow. Has a prickly carbonation. A little dry. Flavors of grain, grass and bread.
