Had this on-tap with a friend on October 30 ,2013.
Appearance - Yellow /golden color with plenty of apparent bubbles. Less than a finger of head but it lasted awhile which was a very pleasant surprise. Good lacing as well.
Smell - Very mild with some minimal malt presence, but virtually nothing in the way of hops. Nothing distinguishing for better or worse.
Taste - Quite sweet, a bit more than I was expecting, otherwise there's again a mild malt presence, but the absence of any strong flavors one way or another. Not unpleasant, but nothing that stands out.
Mouthfeel - While this style is generally on the light side and the taste is light, there is a fullness and richness to this beer that makes you realize that this is definitely not a light beer, but something more substantial.
Overall - A fine beer, but as one of the two craft selections on tap that night, it was merely the best available beer. Wouldn't hesitate to get it again, but with other watering holes just around the corner offering over 20 craft selections, I probably won't be back to try this anytime soon.

Serving: On-tap in Toronto
Served: 3 August 2013
Appearance: Light yellow and effervescent. Lots of carbonation coming up from the bottom. Small white head that leaves a shimmer of foam on the top. Good lacing down the sides of the glass. For the style, this beer looks great. I especially am happy to see a head stick around for a while and the superb lacing.
Smell: Doesn't smell like much. Some light malts and next to no (if any) hop presence. There are no offputting smells though.
Taste: Extremely simple. Sweet, almost like a PBR. A clean, easy drinking lager that isn't meant to be something crazy. Extremely drinkable due to absence of strong flavors. Tastes like "beer".
Mouthfeel: Good carbonation gives the beer some body. Doesn't feel watery despite the lightness associated with the style.
Overall: This isn't a great beer but it isn't bad either. For a craft lager, I'm pleased. It's easy drinking and something you could sit down with for a long time. Probably a step up from LaBatt and Molson Canadian (though I've not tried either of those), but not notably so.

Poured from a tall boy into a true pint, the beer is a bright, yellow-gold coloring with a ton of carbonation bubbling through the body and a thin, frothy, bright white head. Nose of toasted grains, floral hops, and a touch of honey sweetness. Flavors of toasted bread, honey and caramel subtle sweetness, and a pepper spiced and floral hops character at the end of the palate. Very balanced and very clean. The aftertaste is roasty and bitter, with some buttery highlights. Clean, smooth finish, which is slightly effervescent due to the carbonation. Decent, and very drinkable.
