In a part of Rochester you might want to keep your car doors locked in, is New Crown Beverages. They have a great selection of hard to find brews and it can all be done from the cumfort of your car. I like that. The service is very good. I was greeted with a polite smile. I like that. If anything, I like to see a smile. The employees are also very kind and helpful. New crown is a great place. I wish they were in a safer part of the city, but what can you do? Besides, I have no room to complain about that. I do live in the ghetto myself.

While some of us here in the Flower City are used to the great BotW (Beers of the World), there are some smaller players who do have some nice offerings, especially if your in their neighborhood. New Crown is one of those.
It is an older facility from a bygone era where you pulled up in your Chevy or Buick fourdoor, told the carhop you wanted a case of Standard or Genny, they took out the empties, and dropped the full obe in the trunk, and you were off. A welcome blast from the past as they still offer that kind of service.
Since they have been bought in the recent past by a Syracuse distributor of first tier micros, they have expanded their stock of more interesting fare, including a smattering of Canadian craft, very popular Belgians, New York State micros, and some from some more distant regions. They may lose points in the presentation, as the retail space is not large or very condusive for and extended browsing session, but they will sell full case quantities of anything in the warehouse. This isn't too bad, but be prepared to get a little dirty as the warehouse is open on one side to the elements. The things we do for love.
The staff is small but enthusiastic, willing to answer questions about availability of some favorites, even willing to try and bring them in if they can get them (those pesky distribution issues again). They have indicated that they are going to enlarge the retail area to better display and break out some of their more interesting stock.
This place is well worth stopping in when in northeastern Rochester.
