Sampled on August 15, 2009. It poured an amber-cotton color with a thin beige head. The aroma was oozing with floral malts, light hops, and something kind of sweet and fruity. The mouthfeel was medium to creamy and fairly bold. The bitter and caramel sweet flavor was well balanced and likeable.

Poured on-tap and served in a tumbler pint, the beer is a hazy copper-orange color, with a thin, filmy head. The nose is sweet and rich toffee, without much else. The beer's flavors are sweet and creamy first, with butter and toffee characteristics abound. There is a slight bitter hopping at the end of the palate, but it is overpowered for the most part. The aftertaste is clean and spiced, with pepper spicing leading to a quick, clean, slightly drying finish.

This Bier looked soooo appetizing! It poured a rich, medium copper color, with a slight touch of haze. The head was somewhat off-white to light tan, and verrry creamy and cool-whip like. It maintained about a 1/4" for a long while, and lacing in the glass was superb! A whiff of the suds found a very strong, malty, caramel aroma, which was quite appealing! The body of this Bier was about medium, and it traversed the palate rather smoothly. Flavor also had plenty of caramel notes with semi-sweet malt. A hint of butterscotch was also detected. A very smooth, easy drinking Bier. The caramel aspect really sticks in the throat for a lovely aftertaste. The hops are at a minimum here, and I found little, if any, bitterness to speak of. I might add the the first pint really kicked ass, but the 2nd seemed to be a notch below. NBD, still a nice brew to quaff! Cheers!!!
