From 04/25/11 notes. Had on tap at Churchkey in Washington, DC.

a - Pours a dark brown, almost black color, with less than one inch of tan head and moderate carbonation evident.

s - Smells of roasted malts, coffee, oatmeal, cream, and nuts.

t - Tastes of coffee, roasted malts, oatmeal, cream/vanilla, and dark fruits.

m - Medium body and low to moderate carbonation, smooth and creamy body.

o - Overall this was a very drinkable, very nice oatmeal stout. Great mouthfeel and some definite cream/oatmeal in the nose and taste. Would order it again.

An ok stout of a dark brown color and a brownish foam, with bubbles in the head.
Smell and taste are soft, of roasted malts and cola basically, but also coffe. I didn't find strong chocolate tones in this one.
This beer is almost like a cola, but with a huge body and some alcohol (just 4.5%)
A bit disappointing.

Picked this up at a great little beer store in Arlon, Belgium, Miorge Mihoublon. Dark brown, nearly black pour with a quickly fading one finger caramel colored head with minimal lacing. The nose is roasty and subtly sweet with hints of dark chocolate, espresso, oats, and a touch of smoke. The taste is dark roast forward with hints of nuts, caramel, dark chocolate, cocoa, toasted oats, espresso, smoke, and just a touch of licorice. The mouthfeel is much thinner than I had expected, but very smooth and extremely drinkable with a dry, bittersweet finish. Overall, pretty tasty even though I'm not a huge fan of Oatmeal Stouts.

Looks a Dark brown and ruby. Moderate head that is a milk chocolate colour.

Smells of sweet vanilla with some light chocolate and coffee aroma.

Taste is subtle chocolate and coffee.

I Was expecting heavy but got quite light. Easy drinking.
My first go at a Norwegian beer. I quite like this drop and could easily drink a few of these.

Appearance: Black, with visible bits of brown sediment that aren't very pretty (should've poured it carefully and let the sediment remain in the bottle). Pours a nice and creamy one finger head.

Aroma: Milk chocolate and coffee, roasted malt, hint of vanilla.

Taste: Coffee and liquid chocolate, with a hint of bitterness in the aftertaste. Quite mild and light, but with a solid stout base.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, typical oatmeal stout softness. Medium bodied.

Overall: It's rather good for a light oatmeal stout, although I feel that this type of beer is rarely at it's best with a lowish alcohol content. It could easily get up to 6% and this might give it more robustness. Nøgne Ø rarely disappoints, and this is certainly a tasty stout, if it isn't one of their best.

Half-litre bottle tasted during my 'Drinking around Europe' evening on New Years Eve.

Black bodied beer with a light tan/biege head that stayed the distance as well as leaving some heavy lacing on my UK sleeve glass.

Malty molasses rule the nose and taste: chocolate, coffee and Brazil nuts! All in the aroma and flavours in the mouth.

Nicely put together without setting the world alight: would have prefered a little hop bitterness in the blend to be honest: this was smooth, almost creamy and bordering on rich body wise. Not as Oatmealy as I expected.

T: This beer tastes like malt, chocolate and coffee, but he's a bit weak.

M: This beer has a reasonable carbonation and a large feeling foam.

O: Good drinkable and a short finish.

500ml bottle, allowed to warm a little having come in from the outhouse, poured into a UK handled pint glass.

Pours a rich mid-black colour with a good finger of creamy brown/beige head which thins back to a half finger within a few minutes.

On the nose I got sweet flavours, sugar, roasted malt, milky choclolate and a slightly toasted kind of caramel/butter/toffee aroma.

On the palate caramel, toffee, sweet sugar, roasted malts finished with a bitter dry and slightly sweet aftertaste.

Medium bodied stout with fairly low carbonation which provided a good creamy finish.

Overall a decent stout, not quite as sweet as I was expecting but that's no bad thing!
