Appearance: A hazy amber orange color with a rich white head. I personally prefer my IPAs to be less opaque and lighter in color but the head was perfect.
Smell: It has a light piney hoppiness to the nose with subtle citrus and a balanced malty aroma. There is some slight heat to the nose as well. There definitely could be more hop aromatics to this IPA but still pretty good.
Taste: This is where this beer goes a little flat and not carbonation wise. The flavor is a bit lack luster. It has a nice piney and citrusy hop character though it is very subdued. There is a sugary malty flavor that hits the pallet mid stream but not enough to balance the beer. There is surprisingly a lot of burning towards the finish for a beer that only has 7.5% ABV.
Mouthfeel: The beer has a nice smooth mouthfeel with just the right amount of carbonation. The heat dries the beer from your palette soon after the finish.
Overall this IPA is just good. Nothing spectacular and definitely not worth the $11 I spent on it. Nogne should stick to Russian Imperial Stouts like the Dark Horizon. Those are worth the money.

Creamy white head and a clear orangey yellow body.
Sweet citrus fruit and some floral notes. Nice bright inviting aroma.
Sweet orange but gets a little more grapefruit and pine than the aroma let on. There is some caramel and bready malt in there.
Smooth medium body. Feels like the hops are scraping my tongue as it goes down.

500ml bottle served in a pint glass.
A: Pours a hazy orange color forming s solid, creamy and persistent yellow head. Forms dome creamy and soapy lacings in the glass
S: Intense caramel followed by flowery hops. American style as expected. Malts are a mix of caramel and maris otter and hops are flowery, herby and quite piny with a touch of citrus. Fruity, with notes of orange, grapefruit and a little bit of mango
T: Slightly sweet caramel malts in upfront followed by a dry and intense hops bitterness. Notes of caramel, caramel malts, brown sugar, orange, mango and pine. In overall, a slightly sweet taste followed by a good hops bitterness kick. However, quite smooth and well balanced
M: Medium body and carbonation. Caramel and piny hops in the aftertaste. A great texture. Pleasantly smooth mouth feel
O: Great drinkability. My second Nøgne. No regret so far. Great brew
