500ml bottle served in a pint glass.
A: Pours a hazy orange color forming s solid, creamy and persistent yellow head. Forms dome creamy and soapy lacings in the glass
S: Intense caramel followed by flowery hops. American style as expected. Malts are a mix of caramel and maris otter and hops are flowery, herby and quite piny with a touch of citrus. Fruity, with notes of orange, grapefruit and a little bit of mango
T: Slightly sweet caramel malts in upfront followed by a dry and intense hops bitterness. Notes of caramel, caramel malts, brown sugar, orange, mango and pine. In overall, a slightly sweet taste followed by a good hops bitterness kick. However, quite smooth and well balanced
M: Medium body and carbonation. Caramel and piny hops in the aftertaste. A great texture. Pleasantly smooth mouth feel
O: Great drinkability. My second Nøgne. No regret so far. Great brew

Pours pale gold/orange and cloudy from the yeast sediment, dense white head which settled fairly quickly. Resinous aroma typical of a strong IPA in common with many US IPA's - reflecting the anticipated taste. Strong forward hoppy flavours typical of the style, rich texture reflecting the 7.5% alc, very tasty and satisfying. Hardly a session beer at this level of alc, but a very good and enjoyable beer. Though a bit expensive being imported from Norway.

A: Pours a yellow brown with ample head. Good head retention and spotted lacing on the glass.
S: Floral and grassy aroma - great hop presence.
T: Good hop bitterness present up front - strong floral presence. Gets sweet on the back from a nice dose of malts. Nicely balanced.
M: Good pop on the tongue.
O: Great brew and a nice use of hop on the flavor balance and layers.

Beer bottle (50 cl.) purchased from Bières & Chopes, and tasted in 2013.
Appearance : unclear orange amber color, with white foam head.
Smell : hoppy and spicy aromas.
Taste & mouthfeel : caramel malty, dry and bitter finish with a long duration.
Drinkability : a nice beer in the style India Pale Ale.

25 oz bottle poured into a shaker pint, two finger fast reducing head.
Burnt orange color, reminiscent of a hefe, carbonation is moderate.
Smells: I was slightly congested, but I could smell grapefruit and citrus fruits, I could also smell the hop bill in its glory.
Taste: very malty at first, a little weak for me. The cascade and Chinook hops came in fine, and the "English Ale Yeast" gave the beer a forthright crispness.
Mouthfeel; nourishingly thick
Overall, this is a fantastic beer well worth pursuing and worth anyone's time who is a fan of big, hearty IPAs!

Poured from a 22oz bottle into a 14 oz "pint" glass. Pours a nice orange yellow color with a small white head that dissipates quickly. Smells of earthy and piney hops, very inviting. Tastes of syrup and piney hops, quite unique. Beer is light-medium bodied and carbonated quite heavily. Overall, a slightly above average beer.
