Poured from 0.5 L bottle into flute. Bottle overflows upon opening...a bit too much carbonation.
A: Once this settles down, it pours a murky orange-red color with high carbonation producing a 2 inch bubbly off-white head that recedes fairly quickly.
S: Wonderful aroma!! Tart lingonberries, wild yeast, farmhouse funk, and a hint of brown sugar.
T: Farmhouse funk becomes more predominant here. Cinnamon, wild yeast, and--more in the background--lingonberries. I wish this was balanced more like the aroma.
M: Light and effervescent. Taste lingers only briefly. Tart and lightly sweet finish.
D: Definitely drinkable and definitely worth a try. A nice collaboration brew. Thanks Kris for this one!

A: The beer is hazy yellowish amber in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation along with some small yeast particles near the edge of the glass. It poured with a finger high off white head that has good retention properties and consistently left a quarter finger high head covering the surface. The beer became murkier as the yeast from the bottom of the bottle got poured out.
S: Light to moderate aromas of sour lingonberries are present in the nose.
T: The taste is similar to the smell but seems a little more medicinal than sour and also has some hints of vinegar. The lingonberries taste a little like cranberries but weren't nearly as tart.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and slightly tart on the palate and has a moderate to high amount of carbonation.
O: This beer wasn't nearly as sour as I expected it to be for an American Wild Ale and tasted like a spritzy sour berry drink.

P: 16.9 fl oz bottle in to a New Belgium snifter.
A: SRM is raspberry red. Translucent. Head is off-white with light red tinge, 4 in, tightly packed small bubbles quickly dissipate to 1 cm. Over-carbonated (gusher). Light/medium lacing.
S: True to form wild ale smell. Tart, a bit of funk, smoothed over with some fruit notes. Light sweetness.
T: Tart/sour hits the initial palate, followed by cranberry, then a much more natural and bitter cranberry flavor, finished by alcohol warmth. Aftertaste is tart cranberry with some light sweetness in the middle and front palate, but bitterness on the back of the palate that lingers.
M: Medium/light body. Sour/tart notes give a typical wild ale and excites the palate. Bitter notes detract from the natural cranberry notes. Yes, cranberry is naturally bitter, but this tastes overly bitter imo. Very interesting finish. Outer palate has a bone dry finish, but middle of palate finished wet, giving a salivating effect.
O: Interesting and good, but to me the big bitter notes turn me off. The bitterness really seems to linger on my palate and is not that pleasurable. Otherwise, this beer is quite good. Glad I tried it.
