First and foremost, be extremely careful with the age of beers in this store, I looked at cans of IPA's that were a year old. The staff is friendly but not particularly knowledgeable.

Must be something to do with SC laws but I thought it was a little strange that a small corner of the store had been closed off and given a separate entry/exit to be the beer section (I'm guessing you cannot sell beer and liquor in the same store). The beer store area was small/cramped and there was no real vibe to speak of...

The majority of the craft beer options were stored on shelves are room temperature and this is definitely a store that you need to check the dates on the beers (I saw a couple of IPAs that were out of code/past best buy dates and at least a handful of winter seasonals still on the shelves). I should note there is a small section of singles available.

The staff was friendly enough but did not seem to have any real beer knowledge.

The selection was nothing to write home about, even for Myrtle Beach - as a point of reference, the Lowe's food had at least a good selection (if not better). There were a handful of SC brews but otherwise just fairly easy to find, widely distributed American craft breweries as well as a handful of Belgian and English offerings.

Greens is a great chain liquor store in SC, but unfortunately, if you're looking for craft beer in Myrtle Beach, this is not your stop. Extremely limited selection in a tiny and cramped corner of the store. Aside from a few local brews (Westbrook, Palmetto) they have a few Northern imports like Evil Twin, Stillwater, etc... But it is VERY limited. You would be better off to go to the Piggly Wiggly at Market Commons (best selection on the strip!), or Pavillions Liquor up in North Myrtle- which had a decent selection to choose from, and plenty of shelves devoted to the cause.

Kind of stumbled on this place when I saw that they sold growlers so I stopped in. I was actually surprised with the selection that they did have. They had 4 or 5 taps that at the time included FBS and Bells Two Hearted.

The bottle selection was a lot better than I was expecting. I actually found two bottles that I had been looking for that I hadn't found all week around Myrtle (Evil Twin Biscotti Break and Terrapin Liquid Bliss). Beyond that they had a full lineup of Founders, Bells, Stone, Terrapin, Sweetwater, DFH, Highland, among others that I can't remember at the time. They also had a full shelf of international beers, mostly Belgian.

As for service, the cashier was friendly but didn't really know much about the beer

Overall this place is worth stopping by, you might be surprised with a few of the bottles that they carry.

Decided to stop by this place while visiting Myrtle Beach with the family. The layout of the place is fairly typical of most SC stores; beer on one side and liquor on the other.

The service is non-existant, the cashier is just that... a cashier, he didn't seem to know anything at all about the beers, and really didn't seem as though he cared. He was friendly enough, but not overly helpful.

The selection is decent for the area, but is far from stellar. Lots of the standard stuff you would expect, but nothing special.

Overall, this is not a bad place to stop and pick up a sixer, but there is definately room for improvement

I decided to visit Green's again on a recent trip to Myrtle and was pleasantly surprised. Their selection has improved since my last visit a couple of years ago. It appears they have more turnover in their stock; the last time I was there, there were several out of date pales and IPAs. I did not notice anything obviously out of date this time. They have a good variety of US craft beers and a nice selection of imports. I'd still recommend the Market Common Pig for the best selection in Myrtle Beach, but you would be in good shape here as well if you were in the vicinity.

Coming from Atlanta, I've gone to Green's in Myrtle expecting it to be the best place to buy beer on the strand - it was an utter disappointment.

Very convenient location in Myrtle, but a bit of a haul from where I stay up near North Myrtle. Typical SC setup with beer on one side - the selection was rather disappointing. I didn't expect it to be as good as CBX, which seems to be the benchmark in South Carolina, but its not even as good as the Greenville or Columbia Green's -- ie, Terrapin, but no side projects. A decent amount of New Belgium and other stuff. Weak belgian selection IMO but that seems to be somewhat common in SC stores. No real quality issues, probably average at best.

If you *need* service, good luck. Green's isn't typically a place one goes to for sommelier-like guidance, and this location holds true to that standard at least.

Its an ok store - you'll be able to find beer you want, but I think I'd get excited just seeing Maharaja there. Recommended, but only due to thin competition.

After a disappointing experience at Pawley's, my buddy and I headed to Green's, my pre-visit pick for my SC beer run.

Green's has a fuller selection of what I was looking for for area beers. More of the New Belgium line, the local brews, even the Thomas Creek stuff from Tennessee. And the Dale's...aahhhh.

Only these were far more reasonable than Pawley's at $18 per 12-pack. Now I'm thinking the guy at Pawley's was feeding me a line as the distributor is likely the same for both places. Regardless, I spent the bulk of my beer dollars at Green's and brought home some fine goodies!

The folks there are there as cashiers, so but the well-informed BA should enjoy a cruise through the aisles.

Located close to the beach, on the main road near the beach front hotels on the north side of MB.

Above average selection. Several large cooler sections in the back of the store with sixers. Very nice selection of bombers, with high grav separated out against the wall between the booze side and the beer side of the store (welcome to SC!).

Picked up SN CF&K and Stone 14th, both nice finds and reasonably priced.

Not a huge store and a lot of macro product chews up floor space, but you will find a good representation of beers available in SC.

This place is conveniently located close to a number of beach resorts off Business Rt 17. Parking lot is small and strangely designed for the limited space. One half of the building is for spirits and the other is for beer.

The beer selection is good for the area, but as others have stated, Piggly Wiggly in Market Commons beats this store for best area selection. Plenty of good beers like Rogue, Founders, Sierra Nevada, Bells, New Belgium, Charleston Brewing, Victory, and a decent Belgian selection. Different prices for cash or charge so beware.

Help was basically non-existant, as the only workers seemed to be working the cash register.

Not a bad place to stop if you pass by, decent selection. This used to be the best beer store in town until piggly wiggly came around guns blazing. Now poor greens looks a little dismal in comparison. Their prices are fair, they have a decent selection...but there isn't much here that you couldn't get at the pig...and the pig has quite a bit that you can't get here.
My only problem with greens is that their beer doesn't move very fast, so you have to double check your dates to make sure you are getting fresh suds and not skunk.
On a side note, you can find some pretty damn random beers here, and their belgian style selection is pretty nice. Check them out after you check out the pig at market common to get anything you forgot.

A fair selection at this Green's location and it's probably the closest "good beer" store to the beach.

Founders, New Holland, Voctory, Rogue, Highland and more. Lots of Belgians, Germans and British ales. A fair selection. But it's a huge disappointment after being a regular customer at the two Green's stores in Atlanta. The selection is good but not great. The Piggly Wiggly out by the airport has a far better selection.

Quality of the beers purchased was good and the service was polite but I only needed a checkout.Prices were fair.

Not bad, worth a stop if you don't have time to drive out to the airport.

OK, I'm sure part of the strange experience here was caused by the strange laws many southern states still retain - but this is a quirky little place. Divided down the middle, one side is liquor, one is beer and wine, and you have to leave the building to go between them. Seemed to be a decent selection of beer, but the only other spots I found in the area selling beer were grocery stores. Another strange thing I haven't seen many other places - 2 prices, one for cash and one for credit?! I didn't even think that was allowed. Anyways - it was a nice place to pick up beer while on vacation, but I'm glad it isn't my only option. They also had some policy of photographing anyone under 25 - so this made for a nice wait to check out with a group of college kids in front of us.

If you live in Myrtle Beach, this is about the only place to find a decent selection of crafts and imports. A friendly staff has good knowledge of the beers they sell and are willing to special order as long as the local distributors carry what you're looking for, which can be a problem sometimes.

About half the store is beer and half is wine. There's a liquor store next door. Most of the beer side is comprised of cases of domestics (Bud, Coors, Miller) and big-name imports (Beck's, St. Pauli, Guinness). There's also a big selection of Mexican beers.

Then there are two stacks of shelves in the middle with imports like Paulaner, Franziskaner and Pilsner Urquell and American beers like Flying Dog, Anchor and Sierra Nevada.

A couple of nits -- I wish the staff were a little more adventurous in ordering some of the lesser-known but interesting beers. And Green's has two prices for each brand -- a lower cash price and a higher credit card price. The prices are reasonable, but not cheap ($8.99 cash price for a six-pack of Anchor Steam; $9.99 cash price for a six-pack of Paulaner Munich). Don't break out the plastic if you can help it.

Just found this place this evening. Felt like giving a little update since the cap was recently popped and a few new things have been added. A little run down looking from the outside but not so bad once you get in. It's a beer store on one side and liquor on the other. They had Victory, Terrapin, Duck-Rabbit, Rogue, Flying Dog, and others there to name a few. Many imported hefes and other imports seem to be coming in as well. They had the barrel-aged Gonzo there which was pretty cool. This is the best selection I've noticed in Myrtle Beach thus far and I know that it will only get better with time. The one thing I didn't enjoy was having a picture taken because I was between 21 and 25...I wonder what use those pictures are once folks like me leave the store? Pretty inconvenient but what the hell, I got some good beer.

Had to make astop in while I was on vacation. This was a good store, best I found in my time there anyway. Great selection, including most every local brew as well as lots of imports. Some good Victory, and Terrapin of course. Not as big of a selection as the store in Greenville, and unfortunaly I left the day we Popped The Cap! so I do not know what kind of effect that will have on the store but I am sure it will have a positve effect on selection. Overall staff was pretty knowledgeable about showing you where to go, didnt really ask for recommendations. The price was reasonable, especially for the beach and if you pay cash. I would not quite say it is a must stop if you are there, unless you forget to bring your own with you.

Looks dumpy on the outside but overall a nice store when taken into context.
Beers looked fresh and dates were good. Pretty busy but everyone was buying your typical BMC. One guy did ask where the Bass was and was pointed in the right direction. Another guy had just gottin off of work and was scanning the craft section with me. I did strike up a conversation with him about beer. He seemed reasonabily knowledgable and at least into craft beer as he took a sixer of Thomas Creek PA with him. He did try to tell me the Terrapin Cream Ale was the same as the Rye PA though. I don't know if he didn't know any better or was just trying to make a sell. Prices are reasonable....especially if you pay with cash. You get a discount for cash. This is pretty much the only game in town if you want to buy some craft beer in Myrtle Beach, overall it's a decent game, but unspectacular.

Found my way to Green's based on reviews and recommendations from BA. It was a busy store on a Tuesday night but they moved the people through relatively quickly. Nice selection, lots of imported singles, domestic local single rack was pretty well picked over and could not mix a six. No dust was present on the bottles and it looks like they move their stock. Nice six pack selection, warm and cold. Also carried a nice selection of wine and go-withs. Other side of store has liquor. A nice store overall.

Standard liquor and beer store with a decent selection of individual bottled beers, every bottle that had a date was fresh that I looked at and this seemed to be one of the better sources for local SC micros had a nice mix of them. As well as the lower abv Belgians a slew of German wheat beers, and other lower in alcohol English ales due to the six percent abv cap in the state of SC. Selection as a whole was pretty nice I only wish that WV would someday have beers like this in a liquor store. Younger guy working was helpful in tending to my questions and helping me grab a keg from the back so I give this place a good score on that department.

I was very pleased with myself when I walked out the door of this establishment with approx. 40 singles that I had yet to try.
They were an assortment of European brews and US micro's.
In addition, there were still quite a few left to pick up the next time I'm in the neighborhood.
Ofcource there was also the usual stock pile of national macro's available as well.
The staff were very friendly, as far as knowledgeble, I don't know as I made no inquires.
The selection could have been better but you can say that about every establishment, after all, who can have to much beer to chose from?
Will definetly return there again!!!
