A nice floral note. Pretty smooth beer. I have not been drinking too many pilsners as of late, due to the crap that the big beer companies put out. I am glad I tried this one. It was a nice, refreshing beer. The hop note calmed as I ate my dinner with it. I had a spicy burger with homemade chips. The beer complimented the food nicely.

22 oz poured into St. Bernardus snifter in the SC Piedmont. Just purchased in NC but a little past the best by date of April 2013. At least it was refrigerated in the store and at home since purchase.

A: Light straw-golden color; clear; undersized sudsy white head quickly disappeared. Looks undercarbonated. Rating of 2.75 may be generous but allows for the possiblity of adverse effects of being a little old. {Likewise for Feel}

S: More or less the expected mix of bready malts and grassy/spicy hops, but not a lot of hops for style.

T: Lightly bitter with grassy hops. Faint, biscuity malts.

M: Carbonation is low; light bodied, semi-dry finish, Could use a more carbonation.

O: A decent pilsner, but not one worth seeking out. Try a different pilsner or a different Olde Hickory instead.

A: The beer is crystal clear pale yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a thin white head.
A: Light aromas of biscuit and bready malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste is similar to the smell and has hints of grassy and floral hops towards the finish along with a loght amount of bitterness.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied and a little clean on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is a great way to begin a meal as it really opens up your palate.

A: Pours a crystal clear pale straw yellow in color with moderate to heavy amounts of visible carbonation and some light golden yellow highlights. The beer has a two finger tall fizzy/sudsy white head that reduces to a thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a slightly thicker ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed

S: Light to moderate aromas of grainy malts with some lighter amounts of lemon/citrus. There are light grassy hops, some light to moderate herbal hops, and just a touch of floral hops.

T: Upfront there is a moderate amount of grainy malts with just a touch of breadiness. Then there are light flavors of grassy and floral hops with a slightly stronger presence of herbal hops. Light amounts of lemon/citrus. Light amounts of bitterness that fades pretty quickly.

M: Light bodied with moderate to heavy amounts of carbonation. Clean and crisp

O: I found this beer to be extremely easy to drink and very enjoyable - super clean mouthfeel and lighter flavors make this one I would definitely grab again. Matches very well with food as it almost acts like a palate cleanser.

My wife picked this up for me on a recent trip to Raleigh.

Served in a DFH Alehouse pint glass.

A: Poured a mustard yellow, with some cloudiness that went beyond mere chill haze. Nice fluffy head and visible carbonation.

S: Faint scent of grain and sweet sour dough bread. Subtle yet serviceable.

T: Easy drinking for sure, I just wish there was a bit more flavor here. Still, I dug the bitterness on the end and the crispness of the pilsener malts overall.

M: Very nice on the carbonation front. VERY bubbly and comforting.

O: I'd drink this one again, especially as it becomes hotter and hotter outside.

Served from bottle into an Olde Hickory goblet (proper!). Poured a slightly hazy golden yellow with a one finger white head that subsided to a minimal amount quickly. Maintained phenomenal lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, grain, fruit, big earth, hay, and dirt. The flavor was of sweet malt, hay, grain, bread, and spice. It had a light feel on the palate with high carbonation. Overall this was a pretty decent brew. This brew was actually quite spot on for the style if I'm honest. Tons of grain and wheat aspects going on here that make this one fairly intriguing and refreshing. Really wish it would have done something to stand out quite a bit more from others in the style. Glad I got to try it and if you're a fan of the style I suggest you do the same at least once.

A: Poured a honey yellow color with good carbonation leaving a medium white cap, some bubbles and lacing

S: Nose is a bit grainy, some biscuit dash of flowers and light honey

T: An immediate dose of light floral and grassy hops with some grains and biscuit, light refreshing, a nice small hop bite and a tad bit of astringency

M: Light bodied, dry but a tad bit astirngent with lingering hop bite and grass

O: Not to bad, easy to drink, crisp and refreshing

Served this 22 oz. brown bottle in a Sierra Nevada Hops glass. Best by June 2012. The body was pale golden and crystal clear. There was a white foamy head that stayed a while.

The smell was lightly vegetal, corn. Spritzy and fruity.

The taste was earthy hops and saltine malts. Semi clean and semi dry.

The mouthfeel was medium bodied and there was a good amount of carbonation. I like to see craft pilsners. I would seek this one out again but I was glad to try it.
