22oz bottle poured into a Sierra Nevada 30th Anniversary glass. Shared by nonstick.
A - Pours a dark brown color with a half finger of mocha colored frothy head. Head falls after a minute or so, leaving a big collar and spotty lacing on the glass.
S - Molasses, honey, prunes, raisins, bourbon, licorice, a touch sweet.
T - Bourbony, boozy, caramel and toffee. Quite smooth, alcohol is kept in check pretty well. Licorice, vanilla and honey.
M - Light tingle from the booze, medium body with a lowish tingly carbonation.
O - Very good...smooth, complex with pretty good balance. Nice barrel treatment on a base beer where honey shows thru quite well.

I was really excited to try this beer, thanks to rudzud for sharing.
Very small fizzy dark head, dark colored, pitch black beer with decent legs. Head is disappointing.
Nose tons of super dark malts, little roast like, super dark choc, syrupy, caramel, choc syrup, then into mild bourbon, little vanilla barrel, bakers choc, etc. There is a decent honey aroma in there too bit not dominant as it's a bit behind the dark malts.
Taste thick syrupy little creamy dark malt base, tons of chocolate, like chocolate ice cream and melted milk choc, little bakers. Then vanilla barrel, hint of bourbon, little toasted oak. Mild booze warmth and hint phenols. Earthy Hops and dark malts bring hint of bitterness. Finish is semi sweet still, fair bitter slight spicy hops, sticky syrupy feel, more chocolate syrup, little bourbon. After an hour or sitting and warming, it has that big thick heavy syrupy boozy beer feel.
Mouth is med bod but very syrupy and too much carbonation, light warming booze.
Overall good but not great. Mouth is not so great, bourbon is light, dark malts are nice, but just not add earthy shattering as I hoped.

Thanks to someone who will remain anonymous for sending me this bottle. Shared with JLindros.
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice dark brown almost black hue with a thin half finger head that fades to leave a thin halo and wispy mocha notes.
S - Aromas of honey, definitely honey, nice creamy bourbon, faint barrel notes, chocolate, faint alcohol, nice light roast, sweeter malts. Solid.
T - Taste is light fudge, barrel, smooth creamy bourbon, light vanilla, faint honey notes. Quite nice, not really earth shattering but really tasty. Well crafted, well executed. Nice coffee and chocolate notes here, good fudge.
M - Mouthfeel is nice for the style, lightly carbonated, slightly creamy.
O - Overall this was a solid beer, real nice and tasty, nice chocolate, would like a more velvety mouthfeel. Good though.

2012 Vintage poured in to tulip.
A - Thick ink black on the pour with a thin layer of medium brown head.
S - Sweet bourbon and vanilla notes up front with charred oak, chocolate fudge and a light coconut aroma. A fantastic nose.
T - The barrel characteristics shine in this one with sweet bourbon and vanilla flavours hitting the tongue first. A big chocolate fudge presence shows up mid-palate along with roast and sweet molasses. Toasted oak and a light coconut flavor are present throughout.
M - Medium body that never quite gets as viscous as the pour indicated. A touch watery at times for the style. Moderate carbonation.
