Very good Flavor great smooth, smell very nice bit of Hops, Noble hops do it right, Light straw Yellow light laceing on the glass,. This is a really good regular drink every day Beer. I have also had it on tap at the Brewery and the Bottle is so close to the draft in taste it is amazing,I highly recomend trying it, They have done a great job bringing Reading back and I will make sure to keep a couple of cases around all the time,

Pours a light golden color (straw colored as they say) with a nice but not too overwhelming frothy head. Aroma is absolutely beautiful with noble hops just blowing into your nose. Taste is crisp and dry with a snappy hop presence. No butterscotch flavors here (you can tell this one was lagered and aged just right). About as clean as a pilsner can be and extremely well balanced with the pale malts just slightly bringing forth a malt presence. I could drink this one all day especially on a hot summer afternoon. Too bad it isn't bottled (at least yet).

Reading Premium is a great beer to bring you back to a standard pilsner style brew without the heavy hit of hops that can accompany such a lighter flavored beer. The sixtel I purchased was brought in by my beer distributor, North Penn Beverage in Souderton, PA upon request. I hear bottles should be available soon, but the sixtels have a nice consistency and a clean pour. The appearance is a golden color with a pure white head. The head stays for the duration of the pint if your glass is properly cleaned or seasoned. The smell is malty with a hint of sweetness. The taste is smooth and clean with the same soft sweetness detected in the nose. The hops are just right to balance the malt and are not noticeable on the palate and do not provide any lingering notes in the aftertaste. The mouthfeel is light but not watery and very smooth. Reading Premium is very drinkable and goes well with lighter foods, or great as a stand alone session beer. Cheers, and enjoy this newer offering from Legacy!

It came to me a radiant gold, crystal clear and bubblingly carbonated. A finger of soft white head lingered nicely until it settled to a film of fine froth. Delicate lacing adorned the glass.

The aroma carries the lightly doughy and well-fruited airs of light malt, and the dense noble hops presented a front of tangy spiciness.

Upon sipping, the bread and fruit malt sweetness came across first, laying the groundwork for the ensuing glissade of almost metallicly tangy hops, fresh with spice and sass. The progression is rapid and very clean, snapping into a brisk finish that breaks bitter and then purges itself for the next sip. It's a commendable interpretation of what a pilsener might be.

Light bodied, the elements are slinky, coating briefly before leaving the palate glowing for more.

I had this during a cold snap in December, and enjoyed the hell out of it. And the whole time I was thinking just how wonderful this beer would be during a warmer time. It's crisp, clean, spicy, brisk, and quite simply, damned good. I'd put off trying this before, because of what I thought were choices more apt to be to my liking, but I now know that not many beers are going to be more to my liking than this one. It is emminently drinkable, each one ensuring the next. A pleasant surprise, I will be back for more.

Served straight from the tanks at the brewery. Thanks for hooking me up Mark.

Appearance: Pours a clear pale gold yellow color with a massive head.

Smell: Very reserved nose. hints of pale malts and light doughy attribute.

Taste: Crisp clean easy session Pilsner with nothing special to offer. Starts lightly sweet and finishes dry. Apropos to style.

Mouthfeel: Light easy refreshing.

Drinkability: When they get the bottling going on this one, keep some around for the lawn mower, but don't take it to a BA tasting.

Hope this is helpful.

[EDIT- this beer will be retired soon, to avoid confusion with the re-incarnated Reading Brewery beer, Reading Premium.]
