Brockton IPA is a celebration of our 25th anniversary. Brewed in the style of a Pacific Northwest India Pale Ale, this refreshing IPA is golden coloured and well hopped. It’s destined to become a highlight of this great city, just like its namesake in Stanley Park.

Poured a 341-ml bottle into a pint glass.
Appearance - light copper colour with a thin layer of head with very good lacing, plenty of hops obviously contributing. Not a lot of visible carbonation.
Smell - nice solid malt aroma with a good whiff of the citrusy hop boquet.
Taste - very crisp flavour with a good bitter finish.
Mouthfeel - well-balanced and exciting hop activity.
Drinkability - easy-drinking IPA, definitely would recommend.

Granville Island Brewery 'Brockton West Coast IPA' @ 6.5% , originally tasted on tap at GCBF'11 , now served from a 6pack of 355 ml cans
A-pour is gold from the tap/can to a clear gold in the glass with a medium size white head leaving a spotty lace along the tulip
S-Cascade , Amarillo & Mosaic - hops (West Coast) ??
T-crisp & clean start , malt backbone is noticeable right up to the disappointing non bitter swallow
MF-ok carbonation , big medium body
Ov-truly a disappointing west coast IPA , nuff said

Looks like a corona. Smells like froot loops. Tastes more like a hoppy pale ale than an IPA. Little body to speak of.

Crystal clear with an amber to dirty gold color. Only a few minor spots for lace.
Deep toasted malt nose. Slightly sweet. No notable hop.
Spritzy with a bittering hop bite. Fairly traditional but uncomplicated. The malt is weak as is the body. Surprisingly shorter aftertaste from the moderate hop finish.

On tap at Pinnacle Harbourfront in Vancouver. Pours a nice amber color with an eggshell-white head. Initial impression is a mild malt base and a decent dose of citrus and pine hops. Not a bomb by any means, but fairly well-balanced and refreshing.

I am shocked that this is rated so low. On draft in Banff. Exploding with hop aroma and flavor, this is a very good low malt pale ale. Side by side with other canadian pale ales, this was amazing. Very new american style
