a: poured a typical macro golden color, maybe a little lighter looking than most, with about an eigth inch of head that dissapears fast leaving no lacing
s: corny, malty sweet, no hints of hops in the aroma
t: corn malts, but not as bad, a little sweeter than most macros
m: light bodied beer with good carbonation

overall, this is a cheap brew, $14 a 30 pack, not something that ill pick up again, unless i need a lot of beer and money or appearance arent important (tailgating)

Poured a can into an ice cold pint glass.

This is a typical "bad beer" that I only acquired because I collect cans. It is not worthy of a A-S-T-M-O review. It pours out a very pale yellow with the typical big fleeting head. The aroma/taste are adjunct city. If they use any hops they do a good job of disguising the usage. Absolutely no body - this is beer flavored water (and bad beer at that). Served ice cold this beer is tolerable but warm it would be foul. If it's cheap enough it just might be worth it.

Onward CANquest!

Poured a average looking straw yellow with a one finger white head whose big bubbles didn't hang around very long, down to a ring around the glass in about a minute. I couldn't place the smell until all of a sudden it hit me, corn flakes and alcohol, here's hoping it tastes better. Well the taste is sweet corn meal, not as sweet as corn bread but it's not far behind. It follows with a nasty alcohol component, may hold better much colder. Mouthfeel is in line if not a bit thicker than most American Adjunct Lagers. As for drinkability, may after a long day of yard work or all day on the boat this may be decent from the ice flow known as a cooler it would need. Cross that one off the list and don't look back.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a very pale yellow color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is mild, some malts and corn. Taste like it smells, corn and malts, not a lot going on. Feels light in the mouth and has decent drinkability. Overall not a whole lot going for this one except the price tag.{$6.75 for a 12 pack}.

CAN you understand how draining it is to drain some of these CANs? Man, there is some purified nastiness out there and a lot of it comes in a CAN.

This began with the standard finger of bone-white head that sank like the Titanic, leaving mere wisps in its wake. Color was a pretty golden-yellow with NE-quality clarity, like the Kansas sunflowers in the summer. Nose had a lager-ish sweetness disrupted by the presence of cereal adjuncts which had crashed the party. To quote pseudo-Great Uncle Raymond, "[It] stood out like a tarantula on a wedding cake." Precisely. The mouthfeel was slightly fizzy but mostly unobtrusive with a fair amount of sweetness on the tongue. Finish was honey-sweet, which is right for the style, but not when it is so sweet that I begin to wonder if I have diabetes.

Now, please understand, I like a good lager now and again, but you should not just throw a whole buncha ingredients together and call it "Classic Lager - Carefully brewed from a balanced blend of Malted Barley and Choice Hops" unless you follow all of that with a TM symbol, in which case it is merely a trademark and not a description. Without it, you leave yourself open to cynics such as myself who are forced to hold back because it is a holiday and I would not want to ruin it for you with a scathing review as this so rightfully deserves.

Ah...my namesake beer. This one brings back fond memories of my heavier, nastier drinking days. Tastes of corn and aluminum can. Aroma is a lot of the same. Looks like any other macro lager I had in the past. Makes me glad I've moved on to greener pastures.

An interesting little beer! It's your everyday, basic, yellow-fizzy, price-point swill, but there's a little bit of grainy maltiness to it that distinguishes it from its adjunct-ridden ilk. Of course there's also some clear alcohol and grape-like fruitiness that's not so good...

It pours a crystal-clear, golden body beneath a short head of creamy bright-white foam that holds better than expected, but leaves only minor lacing behind.

It's light-medium bodied and fairly crisp in the mouth.

The nose offers a touch of grainy sweetness, some grape-like yeasty fruitiness, and a whiff of yeasty sulphur.

And you find the same in the flavor. A smear of hops appear at the swallow, but they're minimal (although they're more obvious in the burp). The bitterness is balancing; and the yeasty sulphur helps with that. It's interesting... because there are no real hops to speak of here, and there's just a twinge more maltiness to it, it's slightly reminiscent of a malt liquor but without the strength (although the alcohol is noticeable) or increased body. The sulphury-lager side really comes out, as does the fruitiness.

Consumed ice-cold, I'd imagine you could go through a few of these during a weekend of ice-fishing - or out in the hot sun on a long charter trip. But as an everyday beer I'm not thinking it'd be worth cracking that second can.

the only upside to this beer is that is $11 for a thirty pack. and that makes it my apartments choice, being poor college kids. we discovered it by asking the local distributor for the cheapest thing they had, and we were advised to not even try classic. though classic does make a fair party beer
the taste is watery with a corn taste, and even metalic
the appearance is just like any macro
if this beer wasnt so cheap i would never touch it. I've tried some bad beer in my life, and this one takes the cake. At least the marketing is good with the price

11 bucks for a 30 pack...good for tailgating i suppose

Appearance: Straw yellow...rather pale, decent head and average retention.

Smell: faint smell of cheap adjunts that comes off like funky veggies

Taste: Corn sweet like a mexican beer. Other than that, it tastes very thin and adjunt laden

Mouthfeel: light and crisp

drinkability: Goes down without an argument

$11 for a 30 pack, watch out Abbaye des Rocs! Pours a clear gold color with no head almost immedietly. Smell is a bland graininess, slight skunk, and some adjuncty semlls. Taste is bland and boring, light malt, no hops, cereal grains. Mouthfeel is boring. Sigh, this beer is bad.
